A/N: Picture on top! That's how Tatianna would look in her costume!! She a lil baddie!! The girl isn't how I picture Tati but it's close enough lol enjoy my little monsters!
At this moment I was thanking God that it was Friday and I didn't have class. A week from today was the big Halloween party, and I was really excited. I have never been to a party as a single woman! I never partied until I met Andre, and now that we were over I could do as I pleased. At this point I wasn't really sure how I felt about the break up. I feel like I should be more upset but I'm not. Maybe I'm in denial?
"Hello Earth to Tatianna!" Emily waved her hand in front of my face.
"Oh sorry. I was thinking."
"Well stop thinking and tell me what you think of this one." She gestured to her cowgirl costume. This was the fifth cowgirl outfit she had tried on, but we had decided the other ones just weren't right. And it's a good think we did because this one was it.
"It's perfect!" I clapped.
"I know right!" She squealed back. "Now, on to you. What kind of costume were you thinking?"
"Well, I'm single now so let's go with something sexy but not slutty."
"Color?"
"Red or black." I decided on. She nodded thoughtfully and we went back into the aisles to look for my costume. Emily didn't even bother taking off the costume she was wearing. We just pranced up and down the rows and rows of costumes until Em stopped abruptly.
"Try this on!" She pulled a bag off the rack.
"It's a cheerleader costume." I said in disgust. Gymnasts and cheerleaders have this life long rivalry. Cheerleaders think can be us and we know they are a bunch of basic bitches. We always say, those who cant do gymnastics cheer.
"I know, but the blue color is so pretty! It would look so good on your dark skin!"
"What part of red or black do you not understand?" I huffed annoyed.
"Just try it on, Tati, for me please? Please?" She begged. I sighed and took the bag just to shut her up. I went in to the dressing room and began to try the white shorts on. I realized it's a Dallas Cowboys' cheerleader outfit. They are respected cheerleaders and I don't mind them actually. I finished getting every thing on and Emily was right. The blue looked amazing on my dark skin and the shorts made my butt look fantastic! I came out of the fitting room to show Emily.
"What did I tell you? Who was right? This girl!" She danced around.
"Alright I get it. You were right. Let's change back and the go home and make pizza rolls." I suggested.
"Alright cool." Em agreed we payed for our stuff and headed back to my apartment.
****
"I'm really excited for this party!" I said as I brought the plate of pizza rolls to me bed.
"Me too. Chase is gonna love your costume!"
"Chase? Why would Chase love it and more importantly why would I care?"
"Because you two have been flirting sine the day you met."
"We have not and he has a girlfriend in New York." I defended.
"Girlfriends can be cheated on." Em pointed out.
"No way! I would never be that girl. Never ever ever!"
"I know you wouldn't cheat with him, but that doesn't change the fact that he likes you and you like him back." She said very matter-of-factly.
"I don't like him like that. We are just friends." I insisted.
