My Mystery Girl

Chapter 3

“What is it, Liam?” The worried tone in her voice was almost too much for me to take. My eyes were starting to sting and I had to take several breaths before saying what I had to say.

“Will you come over to my hotel? I miss you and we can talk here,”

“Sure! I’ll head over now!” The worry was gone and the regular cheer was in her voice. And then she ends the call.

I’m not sure what I’m trying to do. My head is racing so fast that I can’t even get up for a few minutes. So I just lay here on my bed thinking about the life changing choice that I will make today. I look over at my clock and it says that it is 4:30. I quickly sit up and run to my closet and throw on a new blue jumper and head out into the living part of the flat.

Louis was sitting on top of Harry and wrestling with him while watching Spongebob Squarepants on the telly. Zayn was playing with his phone and Niall....was still halfway in the fridge.

“Hey guys? Danielle is coming over for a bit,” I say to them all. I’m just standing in the doorway watching them all. Harry and Louis stopped wrestling and Niall stuck his head out of the fridge. Niall closed the fridge door and walked over to me and put his arm around me while chewing on a piece of cheese. He turned me around and walked me back into our room.

“Alright, Liam. Spit it out. What’s going on?” He sits me down on our bed and puts the rest of his cheese in his mouth.

“I’m gonna do it,” I say to him. I put my hands over my face and rub my temples together.

“Do what exactly?” But he knows what I’m talking about. He just wants me to say it. He knows that I need to hear it myself. I need to process the big choice that i’m about to make. I take a deep breath and let it out. And then I say it;

“I’m going to break up with Danielle.”

Alyx’s P.O.V

I crashed onto my bed and looked up into the ceiling. Liam Payne. I just met Liam Payne! And he kissed me! The tingling sensation still hasn’t left my lips. And now he wants to meet with me later tonight. I haven’t stopped smiling since that happened.

I sit up and call my best friend Jenny Waldman. I was almost jumping up and down waiting for her to pick up so that I could tell her the news.

But she didn’t answer.

‘Beeb! Hey this is Jen! Please leave a message at the tone or unless you’re Alyx...leave me a story about your day!’

She knew me too well. “Hey, Jen! It’s Alyx. You NEED to call me back! You will not believe what happened to me today after the concert! CALL ME BACK!” She knew something had happened to me at the concert already. She went with me and so the fact that Liam grabbed my hand and I disappeared probably got her attention that something had happened. Now all I needed to do was give her the juicy details.

I pressed the ‘end’ button and then dial my other friend’s number. She couldn’t come to the concert with us, sadly, because she was grounded for getting an ‘F’ on her english final.

“Hello?” The girl on the other voice asked. I can almost picture her dirty blonde hair in a ponytail swaying as she put the phone between her ear and her shoulder while going through her desk.

“Hey, Melissa! You will not believe what happened to me at the concert!” I can feel my heart pounding even harder just remembering it. The rush of it all hasn’t left me yet and I feel like I’m about to burst if I don’t tell anyone soon.
