Alpha King's Mate

You are running for a very long time. It is raining heavily and is very windy too. But you can't stop. You and a few others are being chased by wolves and there is no sign of them giving up. They have been chasing you all non-stop throughout the rain. They look bloodthirsty and insanely angry. Then suddenly they slowed down while you and the others came to a halt after running for a bit longer. You noticed that there was no sign of them. You and a few more people sat for a while to catch your breath.

You in your mind: Oh my god. My legs hurt so bad. I wish they stop and don't come back. I don't understand why were they chasing us like that.

Just then you heard a slight sound of the rustling of leaves a few feet away from you. You quickly stood up and were about to run when a huge wolf jumped on you, knocking you to the ground. It hovered above you and you could see the saliva dripping from its mouth. It looked ferocious and you thought that it would not let go of you till you are dead and in its tummy. Just as it was about to get a bite on your neck, another, an even bigger wolf pounced on it, making it lose its footing and fall to the ground. The one that attacked you stumbled a few steps and then the two wolves started growling and fighting. You were scared, shivering, and watching the two fight and trying to crawl away to safety. You also noticed that there were a few more wolves surrounding the area. You had to escape, or else you will be those wolves' dinner. As you tried to move slowly, your body started giving up and you were so exhausted that you passed out right there without going any further...

Jungkook POV

It was a normal working day for me. Attending to a few unsolved cases, training the omegas and other wolves. By training I mean not being there training them physically, but by mind-link. I always send my beta Taehyung, to supervise them. Since we are the ultimate pack, we need to maintain our position in the world of werewolves. Yes, I, am Jungkook, a werewolf, as they call our kind, and not just any ordinary one, but an Alpha king. My wolf's name is King. So suitable right? His had that name even before I knew that he existed, so not that I have been biased and named him that. The werewolves beyond my radius try to meddle with my pack and bring us down, since I am the only one who exits from...I can say many centuries. I am not that old. Just 22 werewolf years, so no big deal, but for humans, I am about 2200 yr old. I'll be 23 in the next 78 human years. Now that's insane. I keep my wolves on high training, but also ensure that they are happy and content. They all respect me a lot. This helps us win even the toughest battles. However, there is one thing, in fact the only thing that is missing in my otherwise content life.

I am yet to find my mate. I even don't know if she exists. I can keep up with my powers in long run only if I have my Luna next to me. For an Alpha king, the full potential is unleashed only when we complete the mating process with the chosen she-wolf. It is like we need our mate much more than any other wolf. The bad part is, without her, I could turn uncontrollable. That would be terrible not just for my pack but also for all the Alphas who look up to me. But I just don't need her for that. I want to feel the love. True love...not the kind which is available at a growl, but the one which is pure. My beta has always told me how he feels when he is around his mate. I can see humongous amount of happiness radiating from him whenever he is with her. 

But his role as a beta, doesn't let him spend much time with his mate. I can see him missing her a lot. There are times that he would run back to the pack house to meet her. He would spend time with her and come back all sweaty and exhausted, but content. I have seen his powers perking up after what happens between them. It must be due to the mate bond they share. I wish to find my mate soon. I miss her... I long for her. The moon goddess has made pairs for each of us. And she can never forget to make a mate for me, since I am the Alpha king. I definitely need my Luna next to me for strength and control. She can never forget to keep one specially for me. But I am also a bit scared... scared that there have been a case where the earlier Alpha king thought he had waited enough and didn't find his true mate and lost his sanity and powers. His afterlife was miserable. I for sure, DO NOT want that.
