You: N...No. I didn't mean it like that. I just want to know how can you get to hear my thoughts and I can't.

Jungkook: I am an alpha king, sweetheart. I have been ruling the people and my kind for many centuries. Don't you think I should have some credit for being a king for so long? Hmm? I felt your presence the moment you were brought into the castle. Did you even think of me being a possibility of being your mate? No, right? In the same way, I have access to many things which you can't, for the time being, and you will get all the needful powers and abilities after... you know... unless you want it sooner...we can-

You: STOP. I never said anything about me wanting to do anything at all.

Jungkook noticed your cheeks burning with a dark tint of pink. He chuckled at your innocence.

Jungkook: Okay, let's skip this conversation...for now since it is getting awkward for you.

You in your mind: Thank goodness.

Jungkook: You should be thanking me.

He winked at you and you quickly realized that he must have probably read your thoughts.

You: So, what did my book say?

Jungkook: I'll let you know everything at the right time. But, for now, you just need to know that I am your mate and we are meant to be together for life. We both need each other for pretty strong reasons. You need me to help you avenge for one of your ancestors. And I need you for stopping a war that is soon to come. This is all that you need to know.

You: Uh...okay. You had said something about my real identity... what did that mean?

Jungkook: Uhm... okay, I think I can tell you about that. You have to understand me here and not lash out, okay? You need to listen to the whole thing.

You: Am I something scary? Am I some kind of-

Jungkook: Like I said, you have to wait till I ask you to speak, okay? Else, I'm not telling you a tiny bit of what I read and know about you.

You sighed defeatedly and greed by nodding your head.

Jungkook: Nodding won't help the situation we are in right now. You have to say the thing out loud. Yes, or no?

You: Yes. Okay. Fine. Alright. I won't disturb you nor interrupt you. Is this good enough for you to continue, or you want me to say more "thing"?

Jungkook smiled at your hilarious outburst and spoke.

Jungkook: You will marry me soon and give me eternal happiness.

You: What? The book said that I will marry you without even knowing anything about you other than you being the king and that you are my mate???

Jungkook turned on his feet and started walking out of his room and down the hall. You didn't understand what he was up to. You even called him out twice, but he didn't respond and kept walking straight ahead. You literally jogged to catch up with him, but he was too fast. You finally decided to run and chase him but...

He just vanished in thin air...

Your thoughts were all over your mind and you couldn't get a hold of what you were feeling. Just then you heard a cracking sound from behind you.

You in your mind: What could that be? That too at this time of the night?

You carefully and slowly turned around to see who it was and you were surprised to see King standing a few steps behind you. Relief washed over your face and you ran to him and got on your knees. You gave him a gentle squeeze. He responded by licking your face and arms. And then he took a few steps back and looked at you straight in your eyes. You also stared back at him and you noticed something oddly familiar. The shiny golden eyes...the same kind which Jungkook had. King suddenly started looking bigger and more...wolf-like in appearance. After a few seconds he looked like a completely different dog...to be more precise, he looked like a fully grown and strong wolf.
