You: What??

Your jaw went wide open. You looked at him with wide eyes and he stared back at you with amusement at your reaction. He took his time to take your features in detail. You, on the other hand, were feeling something you can never think of. It was a different feeling. Your mind was filled with so many questions.

You in your mind: How does he know about me having a mate? Did Taehyung actually tell him everything? Taehyung is my friend and I trusted him with my secrets. I wouldn't have told him anything if the king was with him. It was only that cutie King and he can't say anything and... it has to be Taehyung who must have definitely told him-

Jungkook: Taehyung didn't tell me, sweetheart. I can hear your thoughts.

You in your mind: Yeah, and I can kiss the moon.

Jungkook: "Yeah, and I can kiss the moon". Right?

Your jaw now literally hit the floor. You couldn't believe your ears. You shut your jaw, but then your eyes started burning and you started blinking them quickly to get rid of the dryness in them. You pointed your finger at him and spoke.

You: You...you can rea...really hear wh...what I say?

Jungkook: Yeah baby.

King: Warning – warning... "too much information at a time alert". Be careful. Don't overload her with things she must have just read in fairy tales.

Jungkook: It has to be sooner or later. But the sooner the better. 

You: How?

Your 'how' almost sounded like 'meow' to him, and internally he was dying of laughter while King continuously warned him not to show it on his face for you to see. And as expected, Jungkook kept his straight face and didn't laugh. He got his face closer to you and spoke slow and softly so that you don't freak out.

Jungkook: Because that is how the mate thing works.

King: Stop Jungkook. She may not be able to handle it all at once. Make her get a liking for you first, then feed her the facts man.

Jungkook suddenly went around his room and put a sheer coloured, almost transparent bubble surrounding the two of them. You didn't understand what he was doing, since you could not see anything.

King: Well done, Jungkook. This bubble of silence will keep your conversation secret and inaudible even to the darker than the darkest magic. Only those with pure hearts may be able to hear you both speak though.

Jungkook nodded his head and then spoke to you.

Jungkook: Because we are mates. We are blessed and so, can hear and feel each other's thoughts and feelings.

You: What are you saying? How can we feel each other's feelings and hear each other's thoughts? I have never heard any of your thoughts, nor do I feel anything that you are feeling now.

Jungkook: Because you are not yet bound by the mate bond.

You: How would I get bound by the mate bond?

Jungkook: Uhm... for that you... uhm... you have to...

King: Tell her, my brave king. Tell her.

Jungkook: uhm...

You: uhm...can we say no?

Jungkook: WHAT? No?? No to what?

You: To this...this mate thing?

Jungkook/King in their minds: You can, but I won't tell you that, coz I want you.

Jungkook: You can't... you shouldn't.
