She brought him fruit juice in a pretty glass.
He collected it, thanked her and took a sip.
The coolness made the tangy taste of the juice more refreshing and soothing.
She sat on the sofa next to his, staring at him, watch him drink.
He felt uncomfortable under those eyes, that scrutinizing gaze.
'Why are you looking at me that way?' he asked her.
'What way?' she asked him curling her legs into the sofa.
'Oh don't play dump. You know very well what I mean you little imp,' he said.
She eyed him.
'And for the record, it is intimidating when you do that. My nervous system goes into wrecks when you do that.'
She gave him a dirty look.
'No wonder those children registered at your ballet studio fear you so much. You always give them that look,' he told her in a matter of fact way.
'Whatever,' she shrugged. 'I was just angry because you mentioned Monica and how she belittled you.'
'I thought as much,' he muttered.
'How dare her! How dare she do such to my Bestie?' she said slamming her fist onto the armrest.
'You look like an angry king on a K-drama,' he teased.
She laughed.
'How dare you do that when I am serious?' she snapped.
'You, whatever too,' he said. She stared at him. 'I told you, payback is a bitch.'
'You omitted horny, a horny bitch,' she added with a guffaw.
'Can your mind be any dirtier?'
'Says the guy who used mirrors to look under girls skirt.'
'Come on Sei, that was long ago in high school when I was childish and immature.'
