Mother

You woke up.
A woman was waiting for you at the opposite of the door.
She knocked once, you didn't answer.
She knocked twice, you didn't answer.
She knocked thrice, and said your name.
You answered.
"Come in."

She was beautiful, and she resembled you.
She seemed like a quiet person who was gentle and softspoken.
My mother, is that her?
Before I knew it, tears started filling my eyes.
She looked panicked.
She embraced me.
I embraced her back.

Mother,

     I missed you.
I've never met you.
