DETERMINATION

A few months had passed, Ashes base had expanded further, now it had a "study" area where Ashes wrote the monsters with the most interesting powers, a training area where he trained in hand-to-hand combat with and without weapons.  The armory was filled with melee and throwing weapons that Ashes had created and a new section was added that was empty for now: the "firearms" section.

Ashes was lying on the ottoman in the relaxation area reading the book he had stolen from Ink.  Ashes made huge Xs on the pages of those who had killed: in addition to Killer, Horror, Nightmare, Dream, a few names had been added to the list of the dead: Undertale and Underfell Gaster, Quantum sans, Scoundrel, Seraphim, Ultrasans, Reaper and especially Fatal Error.

Fatal was hands down the hardest to kill, but in addition to getting bones and gaster blasters that are far more effective than before, and Error-like red ropes that burn like hot metal bars to the touch, Ahses gained access to the multiverse code, or as he called it: the game code.

Now he could modify it too, he just had to train to do it but one thing he had already learned: he could copy his code in order to create his own clones, the interesting part is that these clones were no less powerful than Ashes and they didn't cost him. no fatigue.  In addition, by highlighting his own code, he became completely immaterial, as his code was being modified at the time.  Finally, as if that were not enough, no one could eliminate his code (as he did not eliminate the one of Error 404) giving him one more chance against Error 404.

But now he had another plan: every time he fought someone he risked dying and having to start all this again, so he decided to use the same tactic as his enemy ...

Ashes took a trip to Undertale, stole human souls and used them to power up (albeit only slightly), then teleported to Alphys' lab and stole her determination syringes.

Those syringes were now on the work table, along with Ink's open book on the "Artificial Determination" section that would come in handy.

Ashes sat in the chair, summoned his soul and put it on the table and began to read the book.

"Before injecting the determination make sure that there is no air inside the syringe, then proceed by massaging the soul until it begins to expel some of the magic it contains making room for determination. This process is defined by those who suffer it very pleasant and feels a lot of pleasure in the moment of the expulsion of the magic (Ink's note: I don't have a soul so fuck you). Finally insert the needle (the monster must be kept still during this step, in fact it will be very painful and they will try to escape, the pain is described as a pole that passes your chest from side to side) and inject the determination ... The experiments did not end well "

Ashes took the syringe and gave it a few taps to make all the air bubbles rise to the top and let them out.  He put down the syringe and took his soul in his hands, it was a very intense purple, inside circled clouds of light and darkness (which he had taken from Dream and Nightmare) and every now and then glitzed slightly (Since he had also absorbed the powers by Fatal Error).

Ashes pushed with his thumbs to the center of the soul and made a movement towards the other.  He immediately felt a strange sensation, he felt weaker but at the same time he wanted to continue.  He did it again and began to become more and more familiar with that feeling until he recognized it completely.

A: I don't believe I'm going to do it ...

(Sin warning)

// Ashes began to squeeze the soul more regularly, maintaining a constant pressure and rhythm.  In the beginning he was under control but the more he continued the more he lost control.

A: Ah, ah, AH ...

Ashes was squeezing his soul with all his strength, he didn't care it hurt him, he just wanted to experience that pleasure as much as possible.

A: AH, AAHHH!

A little liquid began to come out of the soul, Ahses had never felt so good and hoped that moment would last indefinitely.  But then the liquid stopped flowing and Ashes took control. //

He took the syringe in hIS hand and without thinking twice put it in his soul.  The pain was very strong but bearable, Ashes tried to inject some of the liquid but couldn't.

A: What the ...?

Ashes's magic was so powerful that it had already regenerated itself by occupying the space that would have served for determination.

A: That's not good ... I have another idea but I need some help ...

Ashes teleported to town to seek help, by now he had begun to know Outer sans a little better and he trusted him.  He searched for him for a few minutes when he finally found him on the edge of the ravine at the end of the asteroid on which the city was born.

A: You're not going to throw yourself down are you?

O: Hehe, no, I was looking for new stars

A: New stars?

O: The stars take millennia to be born and die, but there are so many that overnight some appear and others disappear, anyway, do you need something?

A: Yes, you have to help me ...

O: Are you all right?

A: Let's say you're going to have to do something that I'm not going to like at all ...

O:...

Ashes grabbed Outer by the shoulder and they teleported to the asteroid's hideout.  Then Ashes took Outer to the table where the red needles of determination and a purple magic knife were.  Then Ashes summoned his soul and placed it on the same table.

O: what-

A: So, this is what you have to do, take my soul and tear off a small part of it with the knife ...

O: No, I don't even think about it!

A: I know it's terrifying, but I'm the owner of that soul and I'm asking you for a hand ... I can't do it alone ...

O: But why?

A: To be able to live a life worthy of the name and to save the people I love!

O: Ok ... then what should I do?

A: You will have to squeeze the soul and let out some of my magic, then insert the syringe into the wound and get the needle exactly to the center of the soul, inject the artificial determination and take out the needle, I'll take care of the rest!

O: It will be very painful.

To: I know, I know ...

O: Are you ready?

Ashes thought about it for a while then he summoned blue bones with which he blocked his limbs in order to prevent him from moving.

O: But what?

A: So I won't attack you, now go.

Outer took the knife and ... hit Ashes' soul with all the strength he had.  Ashes's vision blurred and he felt pain a thousand times greater than he could bear.  Outer squeeze the soul by letting out a lot of liquid causing Ashes a pleasure 10 times greater than what he had felt while squeezing it but at the same time was exceeded 100 times by the pain.

A: AAAAAHHHHHHHH !!!!!

Outer quickly inserted the needle and injected the determination.  Ashes was crumpled on the ground and kept crying and screaming, and was also injured by his blue bones for moving but he didn't seem to care much.  Then Outer pulled out the syringe and in less than a second Ashes's soul regenerated and the pain was gone.

Ashes was no longer screaming, he was just crying on the floor holding his head in his hands.  Outer approached him and hugged him to make him feel better, they stayed like that for a few minutes then Ashes stopped crying and calmed down.

A: Thanks man, I really appreciate it, you have no idea what I had-

O: It doesn't matter, it's over.

Outer hugged Ashes again, slowly rising to his feet.

Thank you...
