Before you know it, the plane is landing in Wisconsin. Everyone quickly exits the plane with their bags and heads off for the police station. This will be your first case as an official profiler for the FBI and you're eager to prove yourself. You've studied this case as thoroughly as possible on that some-odd-hours ride over. You can't wait to jump in at the station and see the crime scenes. As soon as you walk into the room, Hotch starts barking our commands.
"JJ and Rossi, you go talk to the witnesses. Emily, you and I will stay here to look over the case files to see if we can pick up any signatures we might have missed. Garcia, I need all of the information you can find on all of these women. Morgan, Reid, take (Y/N) to the crime scenes. She has a good eye. Look for anything the unsub might have left behind as a sign or message to us. 6 bodies in 4 weeks is a pretty loud message. Let's figure out what he's trying to say."
You weren't sure if you were happy about going with Reid, or nervous about the jokes you knew were going to come from Morgan. But you had to focus on the case. Hotch complimented you. He said you had a good eye. Let's not get distracted and make him think otherwise.
You hopped in the passenger seat and Morgan got in the drivers seat. Reid took the back as he apparently did most of the time. You stayed quiet for most of the ride to the crime scene. You didn't want to say anything that might bring on the jokes from Morgan. And yet even through the silence, Morgan found his way to make a comfortably awkward setting into a blushingly awkward situation.
"So, Reid, how was the plane ride?" Morgan winked and glanced at you.
"Well the wind current seemed calm for this time of year. It was pleasantly and unexpectedly smooth."
"You know what I meant, Pretty Boy. I guess I'm not the only one callin you Pretty Boy, huh?" Morgan nodded his head toward you, implying that you had a pet name for Spencer like that. You had only just met him. Of course he doesn't have a nickname yet.
However, you simply smiled and laughed because you weren't sure how to verbally respond."How did you enjoy the flight?" Morgan directed the casually pointed question at you this time.
"It was fine. I've flown quite a bit in my life, so it was average." You completely avoided the topic he was aiming for.
Morgan rolled his eyes and smiled. He knew that there was something there. Even before you knew it.
