"Beautiful isn't usually the words people use to describe me." Spencer smiled and laughed a little. He looked down at the ground as he shifted his weight. You swear you saw him blush slightly."Well how do people describe you?" You looked at him concerned, seeing that this wonderful guy had been mistreated. You slid over on the bed, making room for him to sit down. He noticed and sat next to you.
"Just about anything other than good things? Weird, too smart, awkward, my tie is consistently crooked...." He looked down and smiled again. "But I don't really care what everyone else says. I was 12 years old in a public high school. It gives you a pretty thick skin to insults."
"I think you're wonderful, Spencer. I'm sorry if I struck a nerve. You don't have to explain yourself to me. But, there is something I feel you should know about me." You said quietly. You were nervous to tell him about your nightmares, but you were nearly certain they would come back tonight. He should know what to do when you wake in the middle of the night screaming, crying, and hyperventilating.
"You can tell me anything." He looked into your eyes.
"Okay, this will probably sound really stupid, but I should warn you. I get nightmares. Horrible nightmares. I haven't had them very often recently, but I figured you should know. I wake up in a panic attack, screaming. I'm sorry." You looked down, ashamed to admit it.
"When did they start?" He tried to make eye contact with you again.
"Right after my parents died. I really have gotten better. I promise. I just don't want you to freak out if it happens.""No it's ok. Really. I used to get nightmares like that too. Being in the BAU has brought me into a lot of dangerous situations. I understand. Don't be sorry. I'll be right here if you need me. I promise." He lifted your head up to look at him and he smiled at you. You smiled back because, God, his smile was just so dang gorgeous. He was incredibly handsome, but in a different sort of way. And he understood you perfectly.
"Well, it's almost 2. We should get to bed." You broke the stare to try to keep yourself from thinking about him too much.
"You're right. Gotta get back to catching bad guys in a few hours." Spenser stood up and began to remove his tie, then his shirt, then his belt. You didn't realize that you were staring, and he caught you. He spoke and you snapped back. "Oh I'm sorry. I didn't even think about it. Would you prefer if I changed clothes in the bathroom?" You were still slightly zoned out looking at his bare chest when you answered.
"No no you're fine. Sorry sorry I'm really sorry." You laughed and blushed as you looked down at your hands.
You began to take off your shirt, and stood from the bed to change clothes. While in your bra, you opened your bag to find the adorable pajama pants you brought. You thought to yourself *Crap. This guy is gonna think I'm a joke. Why on earth did I bring neon colored pj pants covered in owls?! OWLS?! Why didn't I bring the sexy angel shorts?? Oh right. Because I didn't intend on developing a crush on my coworker and sharing a hotel room with him on my first day. Well, it is what it is...* You continued to dress in front of him. You took off your pants and turned around to find Spencer staring at you just as hard as you had stared at him. At this point you were only in your bra and panties so you were half-way expecting him to be staring. You laughed and he looked at your face.
"I'm really sorry. I'm usually with Morgan and this view is a lot better." He laughed. "And it's just....." He looked down, wringing his hands nervously, slightly blushing with a nervous and shy grin. "It's just... You're beautiful."
