"Where are you off to Luna?" Leonard asked as we headed into the main street and drew closer to the pack house.
"Aria, I need to see her before her fight," I replied, but before I could say anymore we both turned to the left and waited for the person that approached.
Malik was a hard man to ignore and I was soon getting used to all the reactions he would pull out of me by just being close to me. I always noticed when he approached or when he was around and I was guessing it had to do with our bond but even Leonard and others could tell when he was near because he just had the aura that commanded attention.
Butterflies erupted in my stomach and a subtle jolt spiraled down to my lower belly and settled there with a longing ache. My wolf purred softly, content after a tiring day of whining relentlessly she was finally at ease now that he was close again. It didn't help that I shut Malik out earlier either but the pleasure and contentment I felt as I watched his stride, his tall powerful legs bringing him closer and closer to me. His muscles moved when he did, exuding sheer masculinity, the need was as much mine as it was my wolf's.
Leonard muttered something beside me but I honestly couldn't hear a single word, nor was I aware when he left. All I knew was that Malik was here.
In a few long paces he reached me, a soft gasp escaping my lips when his skin came in contact with mine as his fingers caressed my chin. His eyes a sultry mix of that roaring dangerous blue and the striking electric that whispered of his wolf, my mate.
His index finger and thumb lightly holding my chin tilted my head upward as his lips came crashing down. His kiss was demanding and possessive, sweeping all over me and sending waves of pleasure in an attempt to dull and even growing ache as white liquid heat flowed and pooled between my legs.
His hand crawled down, tracing my every curve and he covered my behind possesively and nudged me closer to him and a sharp gasp escaped my lips by how rough he was being. How desperate his growing need for me was, and how intense the wanton feelings it elicited in me both scared and pleasured me.
His mouth moved against mine and for that short moment the rest of the world simply melted away. Gone was the guilt and the responsibility, gone was the war and the packs. We were no longer Alpha and Luna both rather two halves of one soul finally completing each other.
"You locked me out, why?" He growled as he nipped my lower lip.
My gaze was hooded and so was his but he was still the overbearing Malik and I was more than certain he had been stewing about it all day.
"I was busy," I replied and while I did not have the intention to calm him as that is a practically hopeless venture, I hadn't expected that it would only stoke the flames.
He pulled away with bright blue eyes piercing into mine. "Too busy to assure me you were okay?"
My lips were already parted... and swollen so there was only so much more of a reaction I could give. "I told you I was fine."
"And then proceed to block me out."
"Are you seriously mad about that? I was fine, I am fine. I'm right here in your arms!"
"Yeah, for now. Before you waltz off to try and save the fucking world all by yourself again." He huffed in annoyance and I shook my head in confusion.
"I don't understand what you mean."
