Hak woke up feeling her sleeping in his arms. His head was filled with the memories of last night. He thought he was meant to be alone, yet she came in his last year making him the luckiest and happiest he had ever felt. He felt so happy at that moment with her smell filling him up and tried to ignore the thought in the back of his mind reminding him about the future.
They were having breakfast when his mission came and he had to leave. He teleported outside a burning building finding only moments later that he was not alone. Beside him were Peter, Jeho, Ed and Soli. When they were done delivering the souls at the bus stop and after the bus had left Hak spoke hesitantly.
"I was thinking, if you do not have anything to do, you could all come by my house tonight to have some drinks."
"Are we celebrating something?" Peter asked curious at the same time as Soli asked if they had figured out what Mihae's dreams were.
"What dreams?" Asked Jeho and Peter as if one.
"Mihae's, she says she is dreaming. I know it is unheard of," Soli added when she saw their faces, "but as Peter asked, are we celebrating something?"
Hak was too shy to answer so he just said that he will answer all their questions tonight. And with that they all decided to come by around seven o'clock.
Hak wandered home thinking about last night. It was the best night of his life. He could still feel the curves of her body, the warmth of her breath and the smell of her aroma, jasmine. For the first time in 99 years he felt at peace.
When he came home he was presented with a very pleasing and exciting surprise so only after that, when they lay entangled he had the chance of telling her about the evening plan. A bit after that she left for her mission and he walked to the window to admire the view only to find her waving at him. With a smile he waved back at her, following her with his eyes for a while.
The time was now 7 o'clock and the others rang his bell coming all in baring bags filled with food and drinks. Peter was the first one to give him his bag saying with a smile "Here are the beers, cold as you like them."
Then followed Jeho giving him the snacks and a bottle of juice. After him Soli pointed her phone explaining that she will pay for the pizza and lastly Ed took Hak's bags from his hands and placed them with his own on the kitchen counter.
"I brought the vodka which will go perfectly with Jeho's juice."
He then proceeded talking with Soli while waited for the pizzas talking about a film he had seen. In the meanwhile the rest of the party after they made for each and everyone a drink sat in the living room making compliments about the view and layout only to be joined by Ed and Soli when the pizzas were finally there. Hak looked at the time and imagining that Mihae would not be long offered to give them a tour. Peter was the first to get up and follow Hak to the bathroom, Mihae's bedroom and finally Hak's.
They had just entered Hak's bedroom when he realised he had not tidied it up. Alas, it was too late, Jeho had already found Mihae's T-Shirt and was showing it to everyone making questions and insinuating the obvious. Hak just smiled and added that if they wanted details they had only to ask Mihae, believing her to be the more suitable for this since he was not really accustomed to sharing his personal life with them.
"And where is she then?" They asked in one voice clearly not being able to wait for the most intriguing story ever.
"Up the rooftop, I guess," was Hak's answer, they exchange lookes and as if one they ran towards the door struggling to find and wear their shoes fast enough. Hak was the last to enter the elevator trying to ignore their smiles and playful glances. When the doors opened they practically ran up the stairs and out into the terrace calling out her name only to stop when they saw her. Hak then heard a painful sob and pushed everyone aside trying to find Mihae. His eyes wandered for mere seconds and when they found her he saw her sitting on the ground with her face covered by her delicate hands. Without a second to waste he ran to her, kneeling beside her, parting with his hands the hair and hands that covered her face and asked her what is wrong. She looked at him with eyes so full of tears and pain and fell into his embrace without speaking a word.
Feeling her in his arms relaxed him and thus enabled him to look around. It took him a few seconds to feel the other presence. Slowly he raised his eyes to meet two galaxies looking down at him. The Goddess was breathtakingly beautiful with her long black hair flowing behind her and the red dress moving with the air, her strong figure shining through it. It was hard for Hak to keep eye contact not because he could not help but feel naked in front of her as if every fibre of his being was laid there for her to examine. Hopefully it didn't last long, her eyes shifted from him to the others making them feel just like Hak.
Ed was the first to get over the toll she had on him and asked "What's going on?"
"If you want to know I can tell you," was her answer, her voice like the song of a nightingale yet cold, alien. Her eyes fell on Mihae still in the arms of Hak as she waited for her answer.
"Please, don't," Mihae said hoping that it was for the best.
