The Second Set, Draco Malfoy X OC

Chapter 5: Boggart of Truth

It had been a while since the conversation in the Great Hall and Rosa still had most of her walls up to the Slytherin group, who seem to have made it their life missions to make her apart of their group. Rosa seemed to not get anymore peace, except in her two classes she has before lunch that none of the Slytherin posey are in.

Rosa was quietly reading her book at her desk in her next class as lunch was coming to an end. Before she knew it, in walks the Slytherins. "Ah! Rosa! We were looking for you during lunch! I didn't know you were in this defence against the dark arts class?" Theodore says, starting to sit in the chair next to Rosa. Theodore gets shoved by Draco out of the chair onto the ground. Theodore grunting afterwards with the pain that he now feels.

"Watch it Nott. So Rosa, what are you doing over winter holiday?" Draco asks smugly. Rosa seems to have a thing for answering while she continues reading, because once again she doesn't look up from her book. "To answer your question Theodore, I just had my end of the day classes swapped around, also I was trying to avoid you guys. And also Malfoy, nothing much, probably go home, work, and read there" Rosa replies. "Well did you notice Rosa? I was nearly killed today by this furiosus beast, nearly made it out alive" Draco whines.

"Draco you didn't almost die, you were disrespectful to Buckbeak so it warranted the little scratch on your arm" Rosa replies, looking up and patting Draco on the shoulder. Draco's group behind them laughing and cooing over the correction. This doesn't sit well with Draco, getting made fun of and all, he looks at Rosa who was reading again, but with a smirk on her face.

Everyone gets quieted down as Professor Lupin starts the class. "Today students, we will be on a frightening and enchanting lesson. Everyone stand and move the desks to each side of the room" Lupin says, waving his hands in the air. Students stand moving everything out of the way, it was at this moment that Rosa realised that Ron and Harry were in this class along with more of their Gryffindor friends. As the students were dealing with their things Professor Lupin dragged out this old looking wardrobe.

"Now students, today's lesson is boggarts. Boggarts are creatures who once faced, take on the form of the thing you fear the very most! So today we will be facing those fears, you will step up and open the wardrobe, once seeing it you will think of your fear and imagine it is something funny. Then use the spell' Riddiculus' now repeat it back" Lupin instructes. The class all repeated the spell, Draco snarling the whole time.

"This class is ridiculous" Draco groans. Rosa jabs her elbow into his side, side eyeing him. Draco winces for a second at the sudden contact, yet quietly laughs that his antics had gotten to the girl. Draco, now being proud of himself, turned to focus on the class assignment in front of him. He must face his biggest fear in front of the whole class. He could hear all his friends mumbling wondering what their most feared thing is, but he knew what his was.

'My father' Draco thought. He feared his own father the very most. He didn't want his friends seeing him weak like that. He didn't want the class seeing his weakness. Draco didn't want Rosa to see his biggest fear. "Alright class, who's up first?" Lupin asks, no one steps up so he chooses Ron to go first. Ron steps up using his wand to open the wardrobe and to anyone who knew Ron, it was no surprise when a big spider jumped out.

The class laughs as Ron says the spell making the spider have roller skates and stumble back into the wardrobe, Professor Lupin reclosing the doors. Professor Lupin calls Neville to go next. Neville opens the wardrobe door, but unlike Ron, the door slowly creaks open and out walks Professor Snape. At the sight of his colleague and old classmate Professor Lupin chuckles a little bit as Neville very scaredly says the spell, causing the Snape lookalike to wear old lady's clothes. This also makes the rest of the class burst into laughter watching the Snape back into the wardrobe, Professor Lupin closing the door once again.

As the class dies down Professor Lupin's eyes land on Rosa Weasley. "Rosa! Why don't you go next?" Lupin says. Rosa walks to the front of the class, worry evident on her face. She had no clue what would come out of that wardrobe. She wasn't insanely afraid of anything like Ron was, to her knowledge at least. So what fear could this boggart latch onto.

Rosa very hesitantly raises her wand and opens the wardrobe door. The door opens but nothing comes out, confusing everyone including Professor Lupin. But very sneakily, Ron walks out of the wardrobe. Everyone turns to the real Ron, still confused as to how there are two of them.

The boggart Ron starts to speak, "Rosalina Cedrella Weasley, a girl who prides herself so much on being my twin... You are no twin to me, you are not my sister." Those words took and hurt more than Rosa ever knew they would, Ron disowning her as his twin was her greatest fear. The boggart Ron had continued to spat out other nonsense but Rosa couldn't hear it, her ears were ringing, her vision was blurry with tears, the world was spinning.

She was so lost in her dread and grieving she barely noticed when Mattheo jumped in front of her, having the boggart morph into a replica of Mattheo himself. "Riddiculus" Mattheo mutters, still covering Rosa who was hysterically crying. The replica of Mattheo has a ballerina costume on and starts twirling.

The image that people would normally laugh at but with what boggart Ron had said and Rosa's reaction, everyone other than Mattheo was still frozen. Professor Lupin clears his throat, sending a look towards Mattheo and the other Slytherins in the group before he awkwardly continues his lesson. The other Slytherins move to try to get Rosa to move but she is still plastered to the floor, frozen in fear. It takes a moment for the Slytherins to snap Rosa out of her fear trance. But once they do, Rosa looks around at all the faces. Her gaze landing on one particular face... Ron.

Everyone else in the room, every other student, the Slyhtherins, even Professor Lupin, had a sorrowful look on their face, pity for the poor girl. But Ron only made eye contact for a second before he looked down to the ground. He didn't know that that would be her greatest fear. He knew he was over the top with her sometimes but he could always justify himself with saying she was a Slytherin. But he couldn't justify anything that his boggart form had said.

Upon seeing Ron look to the ground, Rosa ran out of the classroom. The Slytherins all watch her run out, but once she is out the door Draco snaps into action. Draco snaps and points at Crabbe and Goyle to grab her things and the others to follow her out and to catch her in the hallway. None of them knew why Ron was Rosa's greatest fear, sure they saw how he treated her sometimes but surely there were other scarier things in the world. Her sister even almost died last year, why was Ron the scariest thing to her.

Once they all catch up to her and see the poor girl hyperventilating, she was freaking out. "Hey Rosa, Rosa calm down, it's fine it wasn't real" Draco says, putting his arms out in front of him trying to calm her, as if she was a scary animal, being were he was raised he wasn't too good at comforting, none of the Slytherins were.

"But he doesn't see me as his twin anymore! That was the last thing I was holding onto with my family! None of them talk to me unless I speak first. Ron may yell and scream at me saying I'm a disgrace but both of us knew no matter what we were twins, we had that special bond at one point, maybe MAYBE! We could have it again. I hoped we would have it again. But now he says I'm not his twin" Rosa cries, pacing and still not breathing correctly.

The Slytherins look to one another, not realising how bad it really was. He doesn't know what came over him, but Draco moves over and holds Rosa to his chest in a tight hug. She wails into his chest, the other Slytherins move over and join into a group hug. There's enough people there that no one notices the deep blue colour that Rosa's hair and eyes turned and by the time they all move out of the hug both features change back to 'normal'.

Everyone starts chuckling at how surprised the Slytherins were, considering they all just willing did a group hug with a Weasley, until they get interrupted, "Did I miss something? Who's this?" a male voice asks. "Enzo!" The Slytherin group shouts, smiling still, even more now seeing their friend.
