Lions Vs Demons

Based on Chapters 17-18 of the One Piece manga, I am starting a schedule so I can release a chapter every Friday, as I'm currently in the process of rewriting several of my old stories. So the chapters from here onwards will come out on Fridays, and vary in length and content.

For those who are Fairy Tail Readers/Watchers, Mira's personality is how she was as a kid before Lisanna's Death. For those who aren't, it doesn't matter, but I recommend you check out the manga/anime sometime.

"I refuse to lose to anyone who calls themselves a swordsman!" Zoro readies himself to fight Cabaji while he gains his composure.

"Ah, I see! So you've injured yourself as insurance. That'll make an excellent excuse when you lose Roronoa Zoro." Cabaji was centered on his own beliefs as he looked down on Zoro.

He was winning before, and now that his opponent has injured himself more, this would prove easier than he thought.

Zoro only smirked at him.

"If I can't win with injuries this severe, I may as well give up on my dream." Zoro raised his blade.

Mira looked at her companion with a new sense of competition. He reminds her of Erza and her pride when it came to swordsmanship.

She reminisced about her days back in Fairy Tail as a kid, until she was interrupted.

"Hey, Mira?" Nami grabbed a hold of a daydreaming Mira, causing her to stop.

"Hmm?" Mira glanced over toward Nami, feeling a sudden urge for action.

"See that shed back there?" Nami jutted her thumb toward a building in the distance. "That's where they keep their treasure; think you can cover for me?" Nami gave a sidelong glance to Mohji and Richie, who were standing off to the side, guarding it.

"Yeah, I think so." Mira gave a smirk of her own as she cracked her knuckles, ready to clobber this man and his lion.

It seems Action was knocking on Mira's doorstep, and she wasn't one to keep it waiting.

"Alrighty then! Let's go!" Nami practically skipped towards the treasure, now that she didn't have to fear Mohji's interference.

"I'll make sure to save you something for your trouble, Mira!" Nami had to make sure she didn't have any debts to the small group of pirates; being in debt was the last thing she needed.

"Alright, you do that, and I'll handle Lion Face here." Mira squared up to fight the lion duo; she had no fear of walking into this fight.

Lions vs. Demons, It was clear who'd win before the fight even started.

"You! You're the chick who hangs around that rubber man! What are you doing here?"Mohji stared at Mira wearily; he had caught a glimpse of her Satan soul earlier and was hesitant.

"I'm itching for a fight, and thankfully you don't seem busy." The look on her face said enough, but Mohji seemed to throw everything he knew out the window. As he started to look down on her. He was a member of the Buggy Pirates, there's no way he'd lose to a random chick.

"A girl like you wants to fight the great lion tamer, Mohji!" Hah, don't worry, I'll go easy on you."

'Seems his ego is bigger than I thought," Mira said, looking at the man in front of her. Sizing him and the lion up she smirked as she came up with a plan. She planned to make this fight fun.

For her at least.

"That's nice of you; It's not like it'll make much of a difference anyway." A glare was shot her way as Mohji called for his lion, Richie.

"Just for that, you'll face the full wrath of the lion duo! Richie get her!"

Richie charged straight toward Mira, but she just stood there, taking something from her pocket. She held her hand out towards the lion as it neared her before coming to a full stop. A single dog treat sat in the palm of her hand and was motioned toward its mouth. She swiped a few treats earlier in hopes to give the little dog later on, but they have a new use now.

Mohji could only stare in disbelief as Richie ignored his orders, distracted by the treat in Mira's hand. After he had finished the remaining bits of the treat, he sat down next to Mira and waited.

"It seems that the numbers are in my favor now, aye?" Mohji's draw dropped, not expecting his own lion to betray him, before turning towards Mira in anger.

"You, you witch! Remove the spell you put on Richie immediately!" Mira smiled at Mohji before once again grabbing another treat from her pocket.

"Oh, yes, dog treats. Such Witchery!" Mira snickered as she kept tossing Richie treats, much to Mohji's dismay.

Mohji's jaw dropped as Mira cackled at his unfortunate circumstances. She didn't waste any time before jumping toward him. Treats proving enough of a distraction.

"No one's around to save you now, let alone, nowhere to run." She grabbed ahold of his head plowing him into the ground with mediocre difficulty, quickly enabling him unconscious.

Mira frowned at that. "I was hoping he'd put up more of a fight"

Behind Mira, Nami choked on air at Mira's words. "Thanks for covering for me Mira, I found something in there that reminded me of that key you had," Nami tossed her a light pink key, confusing Mira as it had the same resemblance as the Fairy Keys.

"I thought there were only the four keys... but now there's different kinds- this... Thank you Nami." Mira was stunned at the key that was lying in her hand, she was only told the legend of the four keys, she didn't even think there could be more. All she knew was she would have to find out.

"Alrighty then, glad you like it! That should make us even for you taking out the lion guy here. We should head back to the others

"Good idea, who knows what kinda trouble those two got themselves into? Also, can you do me a small favour?" Nami looked up from sifting through the bag of treasure she was carrying.

"Depends what you're asking, it'll cost ya!" Nami's eyes lit up with berri signs at the thought of a potential money deal with Mira.

"If you happen to come across any keys while you travel with us- could you grab them for me?" Mira clipped the newfound pink key to the chain around her neck, alongside the other.

Sorry this chapter is so short, starting in June I have a chapter release schedule for everything I write, so you can expect more consistent chapters.

A new Strauss Chapter will be released every Friday, Varying in Length, depending on how bad my writer's break is.

Also Apologies for any spelling and grammatical errors, as English is my second language, and My translating isn't the greatest yet.
