walking to school, everything was normal. there were a few stares here and there but other than that nothing out of the ordinary. you see robin and go over to him, "hey robin" you say. "hey y/n! we're have you been all weekend?" he says, "oh uh i was sick" you say and you guys walk to your locker, making small talk. as you open your locker you see moose, vance and rosie, all stood in a group staring at you. they looked almost, sorry? did they feel bad? why was vance even hanging out with moose, they were fighting the other day! and that fucking girl, rosie. you wanted to rip her skin off right there and then, but your body stayed frozen.
"y/n!" robin says breaking your daze. "oh yeah what were we talking about?" you say, "i was asking if you maybe wanted to go to the arcade with me later?" robin said pleadingly. "oh, sure!" you say and you both walk to first period. it's art so you both sit down next to each other and you can feel eyes drilling into your skull. you turn around and see vance. rosie had moved seats next to him and she was all over him. he didn't seem that interested to be fair. you turn back around and see robin nodding his head with headphones on. "what are you listening to?" you say taking the headphones and laughing. "AC/DC" he says, "no shit! i love that band" you say, "same!" he says. "dude you should see my bedroom, i've got posters everywhere!" you say putting robins headphones on.
time skip to lunch
for some reason finney and gwen weren't in school so it was just you and robin. you both sat down and saw a lot of people staring, "for fuck sake i don't wanna be here" you say, "let's go then" he says offering you his hand. you take it and he leads you out of the cafeteria. "where are we going" you say to robin, "you'll see" he says and walks you out of school. you guys walk for a while until reaching the arcade. "oh my gosh, no one's here either!" you say running in the door. you and robin play a bunch of games and have a lot of fun. "wanna get some ice cream?" he says to you. "uhm? YES?" you say and head to the ice cream store. you walk in and see a bunch of people from your school, "oh shit it's the end of school already?!" you say walking up to the counter. "can we have a toffee sundae please?" robin says the the worker and you both sit at a table. you wait for a while just talking and laughing and then you ice cream comes out. you share the sundae and you're having a blast until you see vance and his group all staring at you.
"oh shit" you say and tilt your head towards them. robin looks over and sighs. he gets up and grabs your hand, "cmon let's get out of here" he says. you both walk out and sit on a bench. "so what happened between you guys?" robin asks. "it's complicated" you say, "tell me" he says, "well basically we went to a party and he got in a fight, he was super angry and accidentally hit me in the face" you say, "what!" robin exclaims. "wait there's more, he started crying n shit so he stayed at mine and the next morning he was gone. next thing you know, he's making out with rosie fucking scott!" you say and see vance and his group walking out the ice cream store. "i'm so sorry y/n" robin says comfortingly. "he isn't talking to me now, but fuck him! it is what it is" you say. you purposely didn't tell robin about the whole thing with your aunt, you didn't want him to worry. suddenly, you hear footsteps behind you.
