"I Didn't Sign Up For This!"/Hogwarts Soulmate AU/discontinued

3rd year/let's have a little game, shall we?~

me and Aiden were chilling in our room while lying down in our beds when he suddenly asked me, "well, what are you gonna do now that you found your soulmates?"

i turned to look at him from my own bed and smirked mischievously. he looked at me with the 'i know that look anywhere...' face. "i am going to give them a few clues for them to find me, of course~" i said in a sing song voice. 

only people close to me actually knows i love playing the detective game a lot, that's why my family set up a few clues every year on my birthday. wether it would be where my birthday party is at, what birthday present i got from my family and bsf and more! so it's different every year. i sometimes give them to my family as well.

"*sigh*... why does it have to be 'that' tho? won't it be hard for them?" he asked, already feeling bad for my soulmates. "don't worry, i won't make it that hard. i'll send them a letter with a gift as the clue for them to decipher that's about me, and maybe they'll bump in to each other and find out as well ;) ," i reassured him.

in the end, he gave in. he knows how much i love giving gifts to my close ones, in riddles, and it's always the best in quality. i also told him i'm gonna start today since we can go to Hogmeade. after we got ready, looking stylish and bada** as always, we went to Hogmeade discussing what to buy for my soulmates. 

we decided to start with what i like first, and that is of course... drumroll please... chocolates and anything sweet that suit my taste! we went to Honeydukes to buy chocolate frogs, charm choc, chocoballs, chocolate cauldron and chocolate wands. i also bought liquorice wands, gummy worms and candied apples just to confuse them. hehe 😈... 

at first, we wanted to buy some blue coloured ink so it pop out on the letter but decided it was too easy for them to figure it out and bought bronze coloured instead. and we also bought a gold lion charm bracelet with ruby eyes for Potter, a silver snake shaped bracelet with emerald eyes that coils around the wrist for Malfoy and a gold badger charm bracelet with yellow garnet eyes for Diggory. of course it is all custom made.

we went back to our room and started packing the gifts and went to the Owlery to use the owls there so they won't reconise mine, Noctus. we then went to the great hall for dinner and head to bed.

Harry's pov

me and Ron went to our room after dinner to find an owl knocking on the window. i opened it and let the owl in.

"it's an owl from the Owlery?" Ron said confused. i was honestly confused as well, why would anyone send me an owl? i fed the owl some treats after taking the package tied to its leg. it was the normal brown package that you would usually receive but with a letter. me and Ron looked at each other confused.

 i started to read the letter first before opening the package. the handwriting was very pretty and the ink is bronze coloured. the paper had some intricate designs at the corners.

the letter

dear Harry,

i am sending this letter to you because i have found out that you are my soulmate. i found out not too long ago from the rumours of me singing last night. i do not plan to reveal who i am just yet, because i would like you to get to know me first using my favourite method, riddles. there's no need to worry for i will give you clues in the form of gifts considering that is what i'm used to. you can also ask your friends for help if needed.

end of letter

i gawked. my soulmate? it looks like Ron is shocked as well since he's also gawking like me.

"YOUR SOULMATE?!" Ron yelled.

"yea... i guess so...?" i said, still speechless. "wait, did the letter say riddles?"

"uh.. yeah it did... using gifts too..."

" should we open the package first and tell Hermione tomorrow?"

"yea let's do that."

we  quickly open the package to see lots of chocolates, liquorice wands, gummy worms and candied apples, all from Honeydukes.

"woah... they must like sweets a lot... especially chocolates..." 'it seems my soulmate is a major sweet tooth' i thought.

"hey... what's that small red box?" asked Ron.

i looked in to the package and it seems that there is a small red box like Ron said.

i took it out and turned it around, "i don't know. maybe it's an extra gift or something"

i slowly opened the box to see a beautiful detailed gold lion charm with ruby eyes. we. were. speechless. GOLD?! RUBY?! THESE WOULD COST MILLIONS JUST BY HOW DETAILED IT IS!

"oh... my... bloody hell..." i looked to my side to see Ron looking at the bracelet, eyes wide and mouth open you fit a Hogwarts Express in.

"i know, its going to at least cost a few million-"

"not that you dumba**! i'm talking about how rare this bracelet is. i have lived long enough to know that this bracelet design neither exist in the wizarding or muggle world! it's the only one in existence, Harry!" Ron shouted.

meanwhile, i just stared wide eyed at the bracelet with trembling hands. only one in existence?! this must cost billions instead of millions!!!

"i think we should head to bed and show these to Hermione tomorrow..." Ron suggested. i just nodded and kept the candies and bracelet in my drawer and straight to bed. just why would my soulmate give me such an expensive gift for? just how rich is my soulmate? i soon fell asleep with my questions unanswered.
