"I Didn't Sign Up For This!"/Hogwarts Soulmate AU/discontinued

3rd year/uh oh... this is awkward...

the next day, all the students were buzzing like crazy. for what reason? i don't know. suddenly, i heard from some Hufflepuff students in my potions class said, that Diggory's soulmate sang last night. i was a bit surprised but brushed it off as a coincidence. 

then, in the hallways, i heard some first year Slytherins mentioned another piece of news that surprised me. Malfoy's soulmate sang last night. now i was really suspicious. is there a possibility for 2 people to share a soulmate? and could it be possible that i am the soulmate mentioned? i don't know anymore, i'll just focus on that later.

in the great hall, i heard that same sentence again... but this time, it was from Potter's mouth instead... OH FOR F***S SAKE! WHY? WHY YOU GOTTA DO THIS TO ME, MAN?! I'M ALREADY SUFFERING ENOUGH BUT NOW I GOTTA DEAL WITH THIS? i know mama told me to find my soulmate fast so she can have an in-law, but now she would probably be over the moon if she found out about this! i guess i'll just deal with it. anything for my family.

after classes are finished, i went to Prof. Flitwick and asked him if i could see Dumbledore, and along with all the teachers because i have something very important to ask. he looked confused but nodded and guided me to Dumbledore's office.

he told me to wait inside the office while he gets the other teachers. when they all arrived, Dumbledore asked, "what did you wanted to ask mr l/n?"

i looked at all of them and asked, "is it possible... for someone to have more than one soulmate...?"

and as i expected, they all looked surprised and confused.

"it is possible but very rare. did you found your soulmate, mr l/n?" Dumbledore asked, curious like the rest of the teachers are.

"well... sort of? everyone was talking about how Diggory, Malfoy and Potter heard their soulmate singing last night and at first i brushed it off as a coincidence but..."

they looked surprised. especially Prof. Snape, Sprout and McGonagall, "i see... this is quite interesting" Dumbledore said.

"and i think that soon, someone will piece it together and it would spread around" i said.

"is that so? well what do you think about this, mr l/n?" McGonagall asked, i can tell that the rest of the teachers are curious on my opinion.

"at first, i thought it would be a hassle but now i just have to deal with it. my mom always wanted an in-law" i answered with a 'i am so done with this s***' face. they seem amused by it though.

after saying thank you to the teachers and leaving the office, i went to my room to see Aiden waiting for me on his bed, a leg crossed on the other and arms folded with an eyebrow raised.

" heyy bestie..." i greeted him nervously. why da f*** does he look like a mother interrogating her son who sneaked out at night?

"so... mind telling me whats going on?" he asked, well, more like demanded me. right. of course he's gonna find out. he literally knows every news in the wizarding world like he's everywhere all at once!

"umm... so... uh.. i have more than one soulmate...?" i said nervously.

"...." - Aiden

"....." - m/n

".... *sigh*.... what am i even going to do with you?" he said while rubbing his temples with 2 fingers.

"...ehe 😅" i sweat dropped.

"whatever, so who are they?" how'd he know that i know who they are?- you know what? nvm, i won't question it anymore.

"Diggory, Malfoy and Potter..."

"hmm... one 3rd year and two 2nd years... and they're famous in their respective houses too. not bad" he said giving me a thumbs up. 

i just looked at him deadpanned, 'i swear one day he's gonna be the death of me' i thought as i looked at him irritatedly.
