it was soon the quidditch match between Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw.
Ron, Hermione, Harry and Draco decided to sit together.
at first, they weren't even planning to sit together but they had to.
even though they still don't like each other, they need to get along because they need to find the mysterious soulmate.
that was the second reason.
the first reason was so they could discuss the letter they received a few hours before they arrived at the quidditch pitch...

3rd pov
the golden trio were eating breakfast when suddenly an owl dropped a letter in front of harry.
when he looked at the wax seal of the letter, he immediately knew who sent it.
he invited Draco, who was talking to his friends, and Cedric, who was talking to his quidditch team, over.
when the two were there they saw that the letter had a bronze wax seal with a white highlighted carnation.
"is that from..." Cedric trailed off.
"i think so?" harry answered.
"it's definitely from them," Hermione established.
"the wax seal is bronze and the symbol represent a white carnation which means pure love and good luck. it probably means they wish to wish you luck for the match later," she said, turning to Cedric.
Cedric had a small blush on his cheek, "ah is that so..." he said smiling.
both Hermione and Ron don't even have to look at the other two to know that Harry and Draco is jealous because they were staring at the Hufflepuff with narrowed eyes.
"well what are we waiting for? hurry up and open the letter already" Draco rolled his eyes.
'yup, definitely jealous.' Hermione and Ron thought, glancing at each other.
when they opened the letter, they read the contents.
in the letter, their soulmate wished good luck to Cedric on the quidditch match (which got him blushing like a tomato btw 😉) and included a riddle, which goes:
"This game will have you up high, like my love for you, dear. i would call you a catch if i'm a seeker but unfortunately i'm not anywhere in the field. but always remember, for i will always be there to cheer you on, my love." (i don't know how to write a riddle so i literally just winged it like my eyeliner 😌)
Cedric by now, is blushing like crazy starting from his neck to his face and ears.
you could basically just see the smoke coming out of his ears.
it's official everyone, cedric.exe is broken.
and it was SOO obvious that the other two are jelly seeing as to how their looks could kill the Hufflepuff.
"anyway... according to the riddle, they are definitely talking about the quidditch match," Hermione said, changing the topic.
"and they're also not one of the players," Ron added.
"but they'll still be watching the match," Draco continued.
"then they will be in the bleachers (is that what it is?)," harry concluded.
Cedric's complexion paled a little, "i suddenly feel nervous now..."
"don't worry, you'll do fine," Hermione affirmed.
"i'll try my best to impress them," Cedric raised his fist determinedly, eyes sparkling.
what they don't know is, the people in the great hall heard a little bit of what they were discussing.....
including two certain people 😉...
