Flare looks around as he bumps onto many people walking in the town and makes his way towards the center where a huge fountain of water is. He sits onto the side of a bench and stares at the crystal clear water rushing down as the center sprays it upward in an orderly way. He turns his head away from the water slowly and sees a girl staring down into his eyes from another bench right next to him. "Ah?" He smiled and looked at her confused. She looked as if she were a belly dancer from far and her skin was really light brown and only a bit darker than Flare, she had red hair but when the sunlight reflected off of it, it made it seem dark orange, She wore a tank top and knee high black stockings on her legs. "Your creepy," She responded to Flare. "What?! Y-You stared at me looking at a fountain of water and you call me creepy?!" Flare says angrily with his face turning slightly red. "Whatever creep-o," She gets up and pats dust off her butt. Two guys went over to her as if picking her up and she left with them without turning back. "Apparently being close to water always brings me problems with the ladies..." Flare shakes his head, puts both hands in his jackets pockets and walks off looking for the blacksmith.

The sunset appeared over the horizon as he reached the blacksmith's shop. "Took so long...! And you were only a block away from that water fountain!" Flare sighs then opens the door quickly. The room looked cozy  with a warm environment, possibly from heat used to forge swords, there were also displays for sword designs on a wall. He walked up forward and the blacksmith comes from his right side, scaring Flare half to death with his dirty clothing and white foggy goggles and uncombed hair. "Is there a sword you'd like to buy before shop closes?" He asks. "Holy cr- I was wondering if you would forge me a sort of blade using this red feather?" Flare pulls out the phoenix feather and hands it to him without second thoughts. "This is awfully warm and its glowing...was this taken out of red nuclear wastes or something? I will do my best and also make a sword tilt that rivals its beauty, now scram! I need to start working on this now...and by the way remember to have a sword license before you come see your sword again, other wise its mine...come back in two days to check up on it," He looks at the feather and tries pushing Flare out the door. "Wha- Wait i don't know where to get a license and "two" days?! That sounds like forever..." He struggles getting pushed out the door. "Just go up that road up there and register for tomorrows classes boy," the blacksmith takes out a hand behind the door he is trying to close on Flare and points up a hill then pulls back managing to close Flare out.

"This day sucks," Flare walks up the hill steadily, there were even less people on the streets. A rat is seen scurrying across the corner and the earth spiked up under him and launched into the air and then a stone came at a fast pace and struck it off sight, Flare walked forward to where the spike on the ground was and he turned both ways and saw nothing but blowing leaves on town streets. His eyebrow rised in confusion but then he continued to where the building was. He walked up the steps then opened the door, went in until he went towards a registrar with a sleeping old man at the counter. "Hey old man, i wanna learn so i can get a license to carry a sword around!" Flare slams his hands on the table, scaring him awake. "Boy you are messing with the wrong old man, and you? License? Ha! We don't give weapons to people under the age of 20," He responds. "But i need it, there are people after me," Flare says. "Well that is unfortunate and i'd be a fool to believe what a child has to say now, go away," The old man gets up and stares angrily at Flare, with an intimidating eye that has a scar through the center. Flare takes a step back looking at him then without words walks away in silence till he reaches the door then closes it behind him. The old man walks to a nearby window and watches him walk off.

Flare stops and wonders if there was anyway of getting the license and he looks back at the building and continues walking forward till it's out of sight. "Maybe if i ask that lady that i left Claire with..." He scratches at his chin then heads off. He walks near the fountain from earlier and sees that girl again, he approaches her and leans on a street light pole. "Fancy seeing you here again, how long has it been? An hour or two?" Flare blows at his nails while leaning at the pole. She turns to look at him with a grumpy attitude. "Oh look, it's the weirdo again why am i not surprised to see you again?" She waves both her feet back and forth without touching the ground.
