the calm breeze that entered his room through the window, shook his tangled hair, kissed his cheeks, and made his stuffy nose freeze to ice. his bare feet kept searching for the quilt that he remembered keeping next to him, but he never imagined laying out a quilt would be so difficult. rubbing his hazy eyes, he wrapped the quilt over his body. the warmth of the quilt at last put his shivering to a halt.

the cuckoo was sitting near his windowpane, singing the song closer to his heart as the afternoon sun bathed the nature in its warm light. tiny specks of dust seemed to dance in the shaft of afternoon sunlight that slanted through his window. the world outside seemed at peace but there was chaos inside his mind as he couldn't actually concentrate on the book he had been reading, more like just staring at, since his mind seemed to be occupied, busy roaming somewhere else.

his new butler.

only calling him a butler felt totally awkward to him since the alpha looked way too young to work in that kind of job. he was probably a year older than him, he assumed, which meant he was supposed to go to school like him. then why was he here? instead of going to school and study just like a normal teenager would, why was he here as a butler? many questions but none of them had answers.

sighing, he laid flat on the bed, his book long forgotten beside him as he kept staring at the ceiling, thinking about the alpha again and again and again. he just couldn't take the alpha outta his mind. why? he didn't know! his wolf just won't stop purring since he let the alpha in.

closing his eyes, he let out a deep breath and grabbed a pillow, hugging it tightly as he rolled over the bed, now laying on his stomach with his legs swinging in the air, to-and-fro.

is he in trouble?—

"okay." he sat up, his legs crisscrossed as he patted his own cheeks. "you should stop acting like some creep!" he scolded himself, hitting his own head as he turned back to his book, paying it his full attention again just for a soft knock on his door to disrupt him.

placing the book aside "yeah?" he allowed the person to enter his room and felt his lips immediately curling up into a soft smile when he spotted taehyung standing at the door, fidgeting with his fingers shyly and he felt his omega cooing.

"uh- i'm really sorry for disturding—"

"you didn't." jeongguk cut him off quickly with a smile and the alpha flashed him a small smile as well, a bit calmer than before.

"well-" he stopped, biting his lower lip as jeongguk just stared at him, actually concerned when he saw the boy's cheeks tainting with a deep hue of red. "i- i just wanted to ask where the bathroom is since the one in my room seems to be restored."

jeongguk groaned in frustration at his own dumbness. "ugh, i am sorry. i forgot to tell you. well, your bathroom is getting repaired and until it's finished, you can freely use mine." he informed the alpha who looked at him a bit bumfuzzled.

"and you're fine with it?" he asked and jeongguk nodded, confirming his answer with a smile.

"i am. but if you feel uncomfortable, then i can leave meanwhile." he grabbed his book, pulling himself up from the bed when the boy spoke again.

"oh- um- no, it's fine. you can stay here." the alpha spoke with hesitation, his pupils dilating. jeongguk sighed.

"fine, here is the bathroom, towels are in the cabinet." jeongguk pointed at the door, right in front of him and the boy nodded his head, eventually entering it.

"thank you." taehyung smiled a shy smile before locking the door behind him. jeongguk chuckled, mumbling a small 'cute' as he let himself fall back into the soft mattress.
