(Jerome's POV)

A week later...

I couldn't wait to finally land in Florida. My whole entire life was going to start there. I was going to move into a new house, have some quality time with my friends, and most of all, I was going to have Mitch living in the same house as me. It would be perfect for just the two of us.

But I couldn't just live under the same roof as Mitch without him knowing how I really fell about him. I don't think that's possible for me. I would only get awkward.

I couldn't think about that right now. I needed to focus on moving in before expressing my feelings to Mitch. Speaking of Mitch, I need to call him once I land in Florida.

A few hours later when Jerome arrives in Florida

Man, that flight to longer than it should have, but never mind that, I'm finally in Florida! I go to pull out my phone from my pocket, and I dial Mitch's number.

(J= Jerome, M= Mitch)

J: Hey buddy, I just landed in Florida!

M: Oh wow, already? That was pretty fast.

J: Ya, well it didn't seem that fast to me.

M: Well I'll head to you right now. It should take me about 10 minutes to get there.

J: Hey, are you okay Mitch? You seem a bit different this week.

M: Trust me Jerome, I'm perfectly fine. Now I got to hang up, I'll see ya in 10 minutes.

J: Alright see ya.

(Mitch's POV)

I just got off the phone with Jerome. Finally, he was here in Florida, ready to move in with me into our new house. This was going to be perfect, but the only thing that was bad was that I had to keep a major secret about how I am in love with him. I know he won't feel the same with me. He just doesn't seem like he would.

I head out to my car to go and pick Jerome up, but as soon as I was about to open my car door, I hear this unbearable, painful sound go through my ear. I felt like I was going to go deaf in the next few seconds. I fell to the ground, pushing my hands onto my ears. The sound finally stops, and I open my eyes and take my hands off my ears. I sit up to see where the sound came from. There was nothing in plain sight, but a man waling his dog down the street. In the man's hand, there was a dog whistle that he just pulled away from his mouth. That was definitely what hurt my ears, a dog whistle. But how is that possible? I'm not even dog related.

I try to ignore what just happened and I get into the care. I twist the key to turn on the engine, and I'm off down the road to go and pick up Jerome.

Mitch gets Jerome from the airport and they head back home

"Did you at least have fun from your ride to Florida?" I asked Jerome. Jerome just looks at me for a few seconds, as if he was trying to read my thoughts, and then he responds, "Ya, it was pretty fun, it just took forever." I started to laugh, and then there was silence that went throughout the whole car. For some reason, I can hear Jerome's heartbeat. It was loud and steady, and I almost got distracted from it, until Jerome spoke up and asked "Are you in any kind of pain right now?"

I just gave him a quick glare, and responded "Yes I am, but that's only because my ears were hurting because of this loud noise I heard before picking you up."

Jerome's face became curious, and asked me "What kind of noise?"

"You wouldn't believe me if I told you."

"Try me."

"Well, I heard a.. a dog whistle"

"A dog whistle?! Well I think that the wolf you got bitten by is actually a werewolf." Jerome said sarcastically.

I replied back, "Ya, I must be a werewolf." That statement was meant to be a joke, but once I said that I must be a werewolf, it seemed so serious to me, and I didn't laugh one bit.
