AS THE SUN HAD SET, SAM sat away from the fire. Facing away from everyone as he sat in a log of wood, you could tell he was lost in his thoughts by the look on his face.
Dean was drawing symbols in the dirt, for protection, and was answering any of hailey's questions, ignoring the looks and sounds from Roy.
Oh, and elliot was leaned against a tree, looking and observing everyone and everything. The way Roy would glare at Dean, the way Dean would glance at Hailey, the way Hailey would glance at Dean but then look towards her brother, and the way her brother seemed to be slightly nervous, kicking the dirt as he listened to what Dean said, glancing once in a while at the fire in front of them.
She also noticed how Sam seemed to grip his fist tightly. She was hesitant to go sit next to him, debating whether she should say something to him or even just sit next to him and be beside him in silence, but with the way he seemed to be looking at the ground, somewhat glaring and annoyed, she decided against it.
"One more time.." Hailey spoke. "That's?.." she tilted her head slightly as she asked Dean the meaning of the symbols of which he was drawing on the dirt.
"Anasazi symbols. It's for protection. The Wendigo can't cross over them." Dean said, drawing more of the symbols on the dirt with a stick. Roy then laughs, gun still in his hand and over his shoulder as he looked at the woods.
"Nobody likes a skeptic, Roy." Dean spoke as he got up from the dirt, glancing over at Elliot for a moment he waited till she looked up at him and nodded to see if she was okay. It took a moment for her to answer but she smiled and nodded back, conforming she was okay.
Dean then points over at Roy and rolls his eyes, Elliot's smile widens just a bit as she chuckles and nods in agreement.
Dean then glanced over at his little brother. Looking at Elliot, she shrugged and Dean took that as an opportunity to go sit down next to him. Elliot decided to walk over to them. She wanted to know what's going on with her brother as well. As the blonde slowly walked towards them, she sat on the log in front of them.
"You want to tell me what's going on in the freaky head of yours?" Dean spoke as he looked over at Sam, whose head was facing away from them.
"Dean-"
"No, you're not fine." Dean cut him off. "You're like a power keg, man. It's not like you..Im supposed to be the belligerent one, remember?"
It was silent for a moment, Elliot sighs as she slightly nudges Sam's foot, making him glance at her before looking away.
"Dad's not here..I mean, that much we know for sure, right" Sam then spoke. "He would have left us a message, a sign, right?" Sam glanced at Elliot before looking at Dean. All he wanted to do was find his father, not babysit.
