Episode 2: Garmadon Attack

Lloyd seeing you sit with him again was a surprise.

"You're still sitting with me?" It was probably a dumb question since they couldn't switch partners now.

"Yeah, we're partners?" See?

"So... I'm guessing you've heard about my dad now..." Lloyd mutters, fiddling with a pencil.

"That obvious hm? Well, yeah, but I don't really care. I haven't seen him yet and other people's words aren't to be taken seriously, especially when I just met them."

"Oh."

"What I want to know is if the 'attacking the city' is an exaggeration or not."

Damn, my acting is top-tier! You thought to yourself, biting down a smile.

"Oh, yeah... He's a warlord," Lloyd said, biting his bottom lip.

"So like- Why does he attack the city?"

"Well, when you climb this building, you get to be... I think the president? Or was it the mayor..."

"What?" Your memory of Ninjago was a bit foggy, did it mention this in the movie?

"Yeah, it's kinda dumb."

"No kidding! No wonder he attacks the city!"

"Yeah, thankfully there's this super secret ninja force that stops him!" He says in a not-so-subtle way, but it's not like actual lego people would notice.

"Really? Like who?"

"Well... They don't have names but there's the green one, the red, black, blue, cyan, and white one! I think the green one's the best," Lloyd chirps, you chuckle.

"What?"

"You like the green one because you're green?"

Lloyd freezes before opening his mouth to speak, "Uh- Yeah! But he's also really cool too!"

"I'm sure he is-"

Ooooooooo!

"Oh no..." Cringes Lloyd.

"Oh! Garmadon attack, you know what to do every one!"

"Thanks, Lloyd!" Exclaims a couple of classmates as they go under their desks.

"Can I have a bathroom pass?"

"Yes Lloyd, you may."

"Okay, listen, hide under the desk and wait for the Ninja to declare it's safe. I'm going to the bathroom!" Says Lloyd as he rushes out of the classroom.

"Hey, guys!" Lloyd exclaims as he reaches the lockers.

"Hey," One of them says, Lloyd is too busy getting inside to decipher who.

"Oh no, I just realized the new kid will hate me now!"

"Didn't they already hate you?" Asks Cole.

"Surprisingly no, they said they don't care because they haven't seen him in action yet, but after this, I'm sure they'll hate me."

"Cheer up Lloyd! There's a small chance they won't," says Nya.

Somewhere else...

Yeah, you're not staying under this desk any longer. You can protect yourself anyways, those other universes paid off.

"Teacher? May I also have a bathroom pass?"

"Uhm... Sure, why not?"

You got up and scurried out of the classroom. You watched outside the window to see the ninja fighting Garmadon. Whoa. Well, you just wanted to go so you didn't have to sit under the desk. You can just... Stay here? Your eyes focused away from the fight when you saw a building tipping over, you looked down to see a kid crying.

Oh crap...

You grabbed something from someone's locker and threw it at the window. Welp, hope that wasn't important.

Crash!

They'll just think it was part of the attack, it seems like the city gets attacked every day anyway. Okay, you can do this, you've been in more life-dangering situations before anyways! You closed your eyes and jumped out.

Ow... You thought, you opened your eyes searching for the kid. There! You bolted, grabbing the kid and launching yourself out of the way.

Oh shit.

"Fuck fuck fuck! Ow!" You cried as you let go of the kid.

"You saved me!" The kid exclaimed as he looked at the fallen building. Yeah, you did, but unfortunately, your leg didn't escape. The kid looked horrified as he tried to get the debris off you to no avail.

"Just get out of here, you can't take it off," You said, it was a good 15 years, maybe you'd have better luck in your next life.

"Ninja!" The kid shouted flailing his arms for one of the Ninjas to notice, the red mech seemed to notice and come over.

"What happened?" He exclaimed.

"They were super awesome! The building was going to fall on me and they jumped from that window and got me out of the way!" The kid exclaimed, pointing to the broken window. Kai (supposedly) looked over to the window and at you who was trying to get the rubble off their leg.

"Oh shit, okay, hold on," He said grabbing the rubble with his mech and taking it off, you felt relieved that the pressure on your leg was now gone, but the pain was still there. Kai grabbed you and the kid and put you both in the school through the broken window.

"Stay here and I'll have someone get to you after we finish this, okay?" You nodded before he turned away.

"Hey, guys? You know the new kid that partnered up with Lloyd?" Kai asked, "well they jumped out a window to save a kid and a building may have broken their leg."

"Are you okay?" Lloyd questions. It was the next day, the doctors only put on a cast and gave you crutches since you guys were legos.

"Yea, it'll heal up, but now it's all floppy," You said as Lloyd gave you a face of disgust.

"Well... Sorry."

"Why are you apologizing? I was the one who went outside when I wasn't supposed to be."

"But- My dad-"

"Are you that hated that you assume everyone hates you because of him?"

Lloyd stays quiet.

"Look, I don't hate you. Your dad? Maybe just a little, but as far as I'm concerned, you're a good person."
