The day you were leaving Awa with the others, had reached faster than you had wanted. You felt sad to leave behind Awa, a beautiful place with so many kindhearted people. But you believed the memories of Awa, the fights you fought, the lessons you learned, they'll always be there.
"A-are you guys.. really.. le-leaving?!" You watched as the pirates cried, not ready to say goodbye either. "Boy! Come again! Make sure you come back! Come back even if your dead!" You head a pirate say to Yoon, and laughed to yourself.
You weren't the only who fought battles and learned lessons. Everyone here, had learned something, they had all met someone knew, and they had all matured a bit. You glanced at Yona, who was frantically looking around. Hak had noticed it too, and grew curious. "What's wrong, Princess?" He asked.
"Jae-ha isn't here yet! There were a lot of things I wanted to thank him for!" Yona said worried, she wouldn't see the said man before leaving. You held in a laugh. In the corner of your eyes, you saw a certain green-head hide behind the buildings. "Oh Yona, you'll have all the time in the world, to thank him when we start traveling." You mumbled to yourself.
"Who cares about that droopy eyes." Hak grumbled, sour at the fact that his beloved princess was thinking of "droopy eyes". "That's not nice! He helped us a lot!" Yona scolded, and even smacked Hak a few times, you did end up bursting into laughter. And yes, you did get a very soft smack from Hak.
"Yona don't worry too much about Jae-ha for now." You reassured her, not wanting to ruin the surprise Jae-ha had planned for you all. "Captain Gi-gan!" You saw Yona call off, after finally finding the elder woman. "You're leaving, huh?" She simply stated, to which you nodded.
"Oh well, you should come by Awa again." She said, she didn't look the least bit sad, but her tone did give off a sadder tone. "Yes ma'am." You answered for both you and Yona. "Don't forget, okay?" She said, however she said it once more, this time directing it you. "Yesss ma'ammmm." You said, dragging out your words.
"If you ever need a boat, talk to me. I'll always have one prepared." Gi-gan continued, and for a split moment she reminded you of a nagging mother, sending of her children for a voyage. You were about to say 'yes ma'am' once more but Yona had beat you to it: "Thank you."
Gi-gan observed the both of you for a moment. "I'm worried how both of you are gonna get married, if one's a beast and the others reckless." Gi-gan teased, successfully ruling both sisters up. She placed one hand on your head and the other on Yona's. "Don't catch colds." She said, and her tone reminded you of your own mother.
You could feel yourself tear up, and you could hear Yona sniffle. The both of you were tearing up. You didn't know when, but you had eventually gotten attached to Awa, to the sea, to the boats, to the people of Awa, to the pirates, to Jae-ha, to Gi-gan. "Let's go." You told Yona, afraid you'd actually start crying.
She followed suite. "Thank you for everything.. goodbye." The two of you walked away from Gi-gan, trying to hold in tears. However when Yona turned back, and ran into Gi-gan's arms, you couldn't help it either. You turned around, and ran towards the two women. Catching them in a large embrace.
Gi-gan embraced the both of you affectionately, she rubbed both your heads, and laughed at your snotty crying faces. But she also reassured you.
