Chapter 8: Why aren't we dead?

Ash's point of view:

I saw Ruby being squeezed by one of the reds tentacle. I screamed her name before she went limp in the tentacles. Please don't let her be dead. I see her chest move and know she is alive. The one around her waist remains, but loosens and the ones on her wrist and ankles leave. Finally a yellow tentacle snakes around my waist and holds me tightly while the others on my wrists and ankles leave. They all leave the T.A.R.D.I.S and hold us over the cliff. The other SlenderMan seem to cheer. I would use my powers, but I think if I do they'll kill Ruby and I can't let that happen. Finally the red one holding Ruby says "We have the prophecy children!" The others cheer louder. The red one holds up a hand and I realize the other red and yellow one were by the white one. The red one says "We will not kill them until the time is right so for now we will put them in the freezer underneath our cliff." I realize this will stop Ruby and I from using our powers. I turn around when I hear a sound and when I look I see the T.A.R.D.I.S disappear. 

A couple of the SlenderMan part in half and all of a sudden the cliff bottom opens up and reveals a set of stairs. The red one drops Ruby and I scream her name when a different red one below catches her. Then all of a sudden the yellow one holding me drops me and I am caught by a different yellow one below too. The two SlenderMan that caught Ruby and I walked down the stairs into a dark underground base. There was only a couple of torches to light the way. Finally after a long walk they stop at a door with two torches on either side of the doorway. The red one opened the door and a sudden blast of freezing air hit me. I was thrown in and hit the back wall when they throw Ruby in and then close the door and lock it. I quickly crawl over to Ruby and grab her hand.

Ruby's point of view:

I wake up and sit up. Shit it's freezing. Ash helps me sit up and asks "are you okay?" I nod my head and say "yeah I'm okay. Where are we? Why aren't we dead?" He sighs and says "I don't know where we are, but one of the red ones said they were waiting for the right time to kill us." I look at him and say "awesome." I look down and see Ash holding my hand and I blush and pull my hand away. I hold my hands over my arms. I had a long sleeve shirt on, but it was still freezing. I knew I wouldn't be able to use my powers. I look at the door and see bars for a window. It looks like the T.A.R.D.I.S windows just without a horizontal bar. Wait the T.A.R.D.I.S, my dad and the others what happened to them. "Ash what happened to the T.A.R.D.I.S?" I ask. He looks at me and says "I don't know it disappeared after they grabbed us." I sigh and realize that the SlenderMan were the ones messing with the T.A.R.D.I.S and made everyone blackout. 

After what I assumed was an hour of me and Ash sitting in the freezer the white Slender Man appeared in the doorway. I look at him and ask "what do you want?" He doesn't reply just stands there until he opens the door and steps in. He sits down in front of me and I look past him at the door. That's when he says "I wouldn't try to run. Our underground base is filled with others like them." I hold my arm with the scar it starts hurting when he talks, but it doesn't hurt as bad as it did before. I scoff and ask "so what do you want?" He looks over at Ash who came over and sat next to me. Finally the Slender Man says "I am here to answer any questions you might have." I look at Ash and then back at the Slender Man. Ash asks "why did you do nothing to help us? I mean you didn't do anything to help, but you also didn't kidnap us." Slender Man sighs and says "I can't help because the others are much stronger than me. I wish I could help you." I look at him and ask "why did you stop me in the alleyway?" He looks at me and say "I was trying to tell you that you were in danger and that others like me were hunting you." I skeptically look at him when Ash asks "why are the others a different color? I mean you are the only white one." Slender Man looks at Ash and says "They have evolved because they killed more people than I have. The red ones have killed more than a thousand people and the yellow ones have killed more than a hundred people. I have only killed twenty people and they all deserved to die." Ash and I looked at him confused and he says "they were either killers themselves, abusers, or rapists." I nod my head and ask "Why did you hurt me?" I roll up my sleeve to show the scar on my left forearm. Slender Man sighs and says "I didn't mean to. I'm sorry. It was important that I tell you so I tried to grip your wrist so you would turn back around and listen to me, but instead I hurt you." I go to say something else when a red SlenderMan comes in and asks "what are you doing? You know you shouldn't be talking to the prisoners get out!" The white SlenderMan leaves and the red one walks out and locks the door again.

I look at Ash and say "we need to escape and I think to do that we need to get the white one on our team." Ash nods his head and says "I agree, but how do we get him on our side?" I think for a bit and that's when it gets colder in the room and I start shivering. "Jeez Ruby you're freezing." Ash says while feeling my cheek. He takes his jacket off and I try to refuse it, but he puts it over my shoulders anyway and helps put my arms into the sleeves. I go to take it off, but he says "Ruby keep it I'll be fine I have a heavier shirt on than you do." I nod my head and he zips up the jacket. I look up at him and realize how close he really is. I slowly back up and say "I think I know how to get the white one on our side." 

Hey guys sorry I took so long on this chapter. I plan on finishing this book before fixing and finishing my other books.
