I made my way to the elevator, got in, and pressed the first-floor button. I waited a couple of minutes, while the elevator music played. I looked up at the numbers it displayed,  the elevator had stayed on floor number four which was the current floor I was staying on. With a sigh, of relief, the elevator had gotten me to the first floor in a matter of minutes. The elevator doors opened, and I walked out of the elevator making my way toward the door.

The rain was still heavy, and pouring with a strong force, I saw Kai parked in a gray Honda SUV waiting for me at the main entrance. He motioned with his hand for me to come over toward him quickly. I made a run for it out of the building, feeling the droplets of icy cold rain hit my face. I pulled the car door handle open, quickly shutting it behind me as I got in.  Kai had the heat on for the ac, and I suddenly warmth and cozinesses as I felt comfortable and relaxed.

Kai turned on the window shield wipers as he started to drive off towards the interstate. I put my seatbelt on with a click, and I then saw that Kai had his seatbelt on as well. "I'm glad you finally made it Bri, the weather is horrible today." He said while focusing on the road.

"Yeah I'm glad that I was able to make it to the car, the rain is cold!" I said, and Kai nodded in agreement. "Shall we listen to some pop music?" Kai suggested turning the knob to the right radio station. "Yes, we shall Kai, Let's listen to some Rihanna!"

"This weather is horrible, I hope it clears up before our departure to Hawaii," Dean said to himself under his breath. He saw the cloudy gloomy skies, and the rapid windy breeze blowing through his dark brown hair. Dean makes his way to his black Toyota Camry he opens up the truck of his car with the button of his car keys. He then shuts the truck behind him, making his way toward the driver's side door.

He unlocks the car doors with his keys once again, as he then pulls the car door handle open. Dean puts his seatbelt on with a single click. Dean turned on the heat for his ac having it blasting with warm air. He turns on his radio to some Country music. He then shuts the car door behind him. He starts up his engine with the turn of his key. Dean makes his way to the interstate.

Two hours later, Dean was the first to arrive at the airport. He parked his car near the building, then he texted Brielle with a message on his phone: Hey, Brielle I'm at the airport. I'm parked near the main entrance. I can't wait to see you, this trip is going to be fun. :)  Dean looked down at his message, wondering if he should send it or not, he then presses send waiting for her response while waiting in the car.

I looked down at my phone noticing a notification from Dean. Kai had turned into the airport parking lot. "Kai he's parked near the main entrance of the parking lot." Kai looked around at his surroundings seeing millions of cars parked near the front entrance of the airport. "Did he say what car he's parked in?" He asked curiously. "Yes... it's a black Toyota Camry .." Brielle suddenly saw the black Toyota Camry, It's over there!" I pointed to the car that Dean was getting out of his car, turning off the ignition, and making his way to the trunk. Kai was able to park in the vacant parking spot beside him.

I open up the car door as Kai made a complete stop. I closed the door behind me, making my way toward Dean with a smile. "Hi, Dean I'm so glad to see you here!" I said with excitement. Dean looked down at me as he gets his suitcase out of his trunk placing it down on the ground. "I'm happy to see you too Ellie." He gently pulled me into a hug, wrapping his arms around me. I could feel my cheeks getting hot, indicating that I was blushing.

Kai grabbed the heavy suitcase from out of the trunk placing it down on the ground. He saw Brielle and Dean embracing each other with a hug. He knew he was third wheeling at the moment, he didn't mind though because he thought this moment was worth it.

Dean could smell the strong scent of vanilla as he hugged her. He held her a bit longer and noticing this he gently pulled away from her. He then shuts his trunk behind him. "Here's Brielle's suitcase it's a bit heavy to carry.." Kai said with a smile. "I might've overdone it with packing my suitcase..." I said as my cheeks still were hot from blushing. "It's not a problem, I should be able to carry the suitcase." He smiled.

"Well... Kai I'm going to miss you, take good care of the cafe while I'm gone." I said while looking up at Kai. "I will Bri don't worry the cafe will be well taken care of, I'm sure of it!" He reassured her. I nodded then smiled at Kai as I waved to him.

Dean was able to lift Brielle's suitcase with slight ease, He then used his other hand to drag his suitcase behind him. I walked along beside him inside the airport. The airport was crowded with people going from every direction. Dean walked over towards the check-in, to a ticket booth that was luckily open.

He placed the suitcase down, I stood there right beside him. He looked at the screen with his blue eyes as he scans the screen with his ocean eyes, he was able to print out the tickets in a matter of minutes. "Two Tickets to Honolulu, Hawaii right?" He said curiously. "Yep, that is correct." I smiled. "Great, we are sitting right beside each other." He smiled back at me.

"Hello welcome to Graceland Airlines, how many bags are you checking in today?" The flight attendant worker asked. "We are checking in two bags to Honolulu, Hawaii." The flight attendant smiled at us both, "Great, place the first suitcase onto the scale." Dean placed the heavy suitcase onto the scale. The flight attendant looks at their screen, "It looks like the suitcase is over the weight limit, you can pay extra for the suitcase or you would have to take some items out."

"How much is it to pay extra?" He asked curiously. "Wait, Dean, you don't have to do that..." I said while looking up at him. I felt my cheeks turning hot from feeling a bit embarrassed. "That'll be $50 sir for the total." I saw Dean look down into my brown eyes, "I don't mind paying Ellie it's something that I want to do." He said with a confident tone.

"I just feel horrible about it, this is your second time having to pay for me..." I frowned. Dean handed the flight attendant the fifty-dollar bill, the attendant then asked him to place the second suitcase which went through.

"Ellie don't be so hard on yourself... I don't mind helping people out especially people I care about." He smiled. "That's nice for you to do for your girlfriend, I hope you both have a great trip to Hawaii!" The flight attendant said. "Oh- we aren't dating." We both said at the same time, and the flight attendant smiled once again.

"You have a great day as well," Dean said while smiling at the flight attendant. "Yes, have a great day," I said while giving them a wave. I followed Dean as we made our way to our gate. "Hmm, we are located in Gate B." He said while glancing down at his ticket.

I followed closely beside him, making sure that I don't accidentally bump into someone. We finally were able to locate our gate and we sat down at two empty seats beside each other. We spent a couple of hours chatting with each other since we were a couple of hours early.

The flight attendant then spoke on the intercom, "Good morning Passengers to Gate B, Flight 141 to Honolulu, Hawaii." We are now boarding please have your tickets ready at the Gate." Our group was called to the gate, we approached the flight attendant, and she had a look at our tickets. "Have a safe flight, enjoy." she smiled.

We boarded our flight and made our way inside the plane. "Welcome aboard the flight." The flight crew says as we made our way to our seats. I sat near the window side and Dean sat near the aisle. We bucked up our seatbelts as we waited for our departure.

The pilot announced  over the intercom, "Welcome aboard the flight my name is Maia and I will be your pilot for today, please watch the flight attendant for important instructions thank you."

The flight attendant demonstrates how to put our oxygen masks on, and where the emergency exits were located if we ever needed to escape from an emergency. "Okay, everyone we are ready for taking off thank you for choosing Graceland Airlines." The airplane suddenly speeds up on the runway as we departed into the dark skies.
