Chapter 2 - Worried about Barnes

Later you walked up to your room again and you were still thinking about why Bucky called you Darling... And in the dream you had last night he also appeared. It has been a good but also confusing dream and as you knew in another universe it was real... so you startet to think about if you best friend loves you in this universe as well. It was possible because he called you darling earlier, you thought. Although maybe you interpret a lot into this »Darling«. And with that you beat the thought out of your head.

Meanwhile you had arrived at your room which was large with a tiny balcony. You sat down and startet to work at a suit for you. Suddenly someone nocked at the door. You said:"come in, but close the door behind you!" And you noticed that you voice sounded way more like a man. And then you realised you had shapeshifted into Steve Rogers. But it was too late James Barnes already opened the door.

He was confused:"Steve, what are you doing in here? And where is Y/n?". "No,no it's me!", you answered. "Yeah I see it's you, Steve!" Bucky said calmly. "No, it's me Y/n. I accidentally shapeshifted again. It won't last long. Come sit down.", you said and pointed to the chair next to you. "What are you doing here?",you asked. "I just don't wanted to be alone so I decided to ask you if you would like to do something with me.", Bucky answered and blushed a bit. "Yeah I'd love to do that!", you said, "Where can we go... what would you like to do?"  

Bucky thought for a few seconds then suggested: "We could go to the park or we could watch a movie or... what ever you want!" "I'd like to go to the beach! If that's ok for you..." you said excitedly. And he agreed. "We just need to hope that you don't need to go on a mission today!" you reminded him. "No, if we are going right now and I leave my phone here, they can't call me to come to a mission. So hurry we are leaving in 15 minutes." , he sounded very exited while he said that. With that he left the room for Y/n to get ready.

You weren't worried at all because it would be a trip with a good friend. And luckyly you shapeshifted into yourself again.

After you got ready you took the elevator to the garage where Bucky was already waiting for you. He sat on his motorbike and you sat down behind him. You didn't thought about putting your hands around his waist but he felt very comfortable and was already blushing again but you didn't see that.

You two had a great time at the beach. But at sunset Bucky got shy and nervous... "hey, James what's going on around your mind you look nervous?",you asked him. When he didn't answer you took his hand and said: " I'm there for you you can tell me if something is wrong!" He blushed and looked away. "Okay you can tell me later. We should get back to the Compound" And with that you drove back. He gave himself a little slap which you didn't notice and said: "It was a nice day, Beautiful. We should do things like that more often." And with that you went to your rooms.

You layed in bed but you couldn't sleep. You where thinking about Bucky. You decided to go to Nat to ask her what she would think about it but she was already fast asleep. So you decided to go to Sam and ask him for help. But he haven't had any tips for you. So you decided to give up and that's why you sat down and worked on your suit for a couple of hours.

You got so tired that you didn't make it to go to bed so you slept the rest of the night with your head on the desk.
