21: Walking the plank

Despite everything. Despite you literally having nothing to do with pirates.. you're the first, you'll be walking on a plank, blindfolded, over a deep black hole.. first. The four of you were escorted outside the pirate hideout, where a bottomless hole can be seen, with a singular plank sticking out towards it. The hole might be filled with water.. might be not too.. you can't tell, but you did somewhat see your reflection in the hole earlier while heading there.. so maybe it is water.. underwater.

"Usually this would be a public event, where all pirates get to watch as traitors get what they deserved.." The Captain explains, "but.. I don't think they'd be interested right now, that party's still going on and I'm not gonna be a party pooper" you feel like that might not be the only reason he didn't announce this publicly..

"So! For the two non-pirates who don't understand what walking the plank means, you basically get blindfolded and have to walk on the plank.. into the hole" The Captain explains, pointing to the hole. "Where I have a little friend waiting.." on cue, you notice something in the hole. Eyes.

...you're scared. Rainbow turns to the Captain, who doesn't seem to mind this. "Hey.. can we just talk about this? We don't HAVE to walk that plank you know?" Rainbow asks, trying her best to save you without having to bust out of the gator guys tight grip on her. "Well rules are rules ma'am, only way for them to not get punished is by letting my ultimate crewmate stay" Gold sighs at this, as she turns to Funneh and Rainbow.

"..maybe I should stay.. I don't want you guys to die.. and me as well" Gold whispers, Funneh shakes her head at this. "No no.. you should stand your ground, Eclipse will find a way out of this.. right Eclipse?" She asks, turning to you who stands beside Gold.

..I could.. but that would require me beating up some people..
Funneh and Gold both turn to Rainbow, who seemed concerned. "Is there no other way?" Rainbow asks, a bit unsure. You shake your head, as they are literal pirates- paying them a fine will not help this time. Rainbow thinks to herself, "Well.. I-"

You get shoved forward by the gator guy holding your hands shut. "Okay first one, time to walk the plank!" Oh god.

..

The white fabric wraps around your eyes, making you unable to see anymore. It's weird honestly. The gator guard escorts you to the plank before letting go, your arms are wrapped together with rope, so you don't have a chance at hitting anyone.. "Forward" he orders. You scoff at this.

..I want to walk backwards. Can I walk backwards?
"..what why?"
"I don't know.. I just think I'd look cool

The Captain stays silent for a bit. "Eh sure, why not?" The gator guard comes again, to rotate you the other way for your weird request. Now making you face your friends (you think), and your back facing the hole below. "For-.. Backwards" the Captain orders again, slight confusion still in his voice. You do as you're told, while searching for a little something in your pocket.

.. a knife.

..

Your hands are free. Now.. upon the rope falling down, and before anyone could react, you sprint off the plank, stabbing the first person to the left. A gator guard.. it had to be, right? You were focusing on where the guard walked off after rotating you, it didn't seem far.. you heard his footsteps. A shriek of pain and shock can be heard, a low one. Yes it was a guard. "SEIZE HER" you use your free hand to peek one eye out of the blindfold. The three guards who were holding onto your friends and sister comes rushing at you, as you start dodging their attacks.

The guards were lazy, thus none of them actually tied any of your friends hands yet. So they're free, and ready to fight. Funneh runs up to one of the guards, trying its best to catch you, kicking him into the hole, where a blast of water comes out of it.. so it was water.. how does one put a hole of water.. underwater is beyond your understanding.
