Reader/Farah and Reader/Emily

Reader PoV:

With my gun in one hand and my flashlight in the other, I quietly make my way through the abandoned warehouse, with Emily Prentiss right behind me, the rest of our team is in another location not far from our position.

We are on the hunt for a serial killer, who had alluded the law for years, however we are finally closing in on him, there is a door up ahead, it is closed, so i go to one side ready to open it, while Emily has her gun up ready to go in first.

I wait for Emily to give me the signal for me to open the door, when she does, I openas the door and she steps inside, I follow right behind her, we walk slowly through the next room, it looks empty, however I sense something isn't right.

"Emily," I whisper to her, making her stop, Emily arch's an eyebrow at me, "something is very wrong, I feel it in my magic," I tell her, Emily is the only one on our team that knows the truth about me being a fire fairy, about magic, about the other world where I am from, the other reason why I told Emily and no one else on our team even though they are my family, after Emily had finally asked me to marry her, I couldn't keep the true from her about who I really was.

After I had told her and finally shown her some of my magic, she told me so many things made sense to her, from how I could calm a victim down enough, to being able to get a confession out of a suspect where no one else could, I had been so relieved to be able to finally tell her the truth, I thought she might hate me, might end our relationship, but she didn't she just kissed me, telling me she loved me even more.

before we continue making our way through the warehouse, I let my eyes light up with magic, so that I could amplify the sounds around us, that's when I heard a low growling sound coming from above us, I quickly place my gun back in my holster, I also managed to put my flashlight away, before the burned one spotted us, letting out a loud raw.

"Emily, get out of here," I yell as the burned one took a massive leap off the upper ledge towards us, lucky I was able to grab a hold of the creature with my magic, throwing it across the room.

"I'm not leaving you," Emily said pointing her gun at the creature, ready to defend me, I knew to kill this creature I would have to use a lot of magic, the kind of magic I hadn't used in over ten years, not since I left Alfea, my home.

"Stand back then," I tell Emily as I stand tall, with my legs hip wide apart, my arms out at my side, since I hadn't use big magic in years, I need to let my emotions take over, they would have to be very strong emotions, if I had any hope in taking down this creature, so I close my eyes and for the first time in a long time, I let myself think of her, Farah Dowling, so I think back on the last time I had defeated a burn one, I had been with Farah, we had taken it down together, I remember how beautiful she was when using magic, how her eyes lit up light the night sky, I remember the first time she told me she loved me, the first time we made love, then I let myself remember the hurt when she ended it, with that last thought, I open my eyes, as I let the fire within me, come out lighting my hands, letting my fire run up both my arms, down my body, I felt powerful, I had forgotten this feeling, I feel alive, my whole body was on fire now.

I raise my hands above my head, commanding my magic, my fire to move up towards my hands as I make a fireball, before throwing it at the creature, killing it in a instant, I feel weak, it had taken all most all of my energy to the point I had almost fallen over, however Emily is by my side holding me in her arms.

"That was incredible, but I thought you said fairies no longer have wings," Emily says still holding on to me tightly, not wanting to let me go.

"We don't have wings, I told you that we had wings in the past, as we've evolved transformation magic was lost," I remind her as it had been one of the first questions Emily had asked me, after I told her I was a fairy.

"Then what are those?" Emily asked me as she pointed to my back, I look over my shoulder and sure enough I had wings, "They are so beautiful," Emily tells me, I want to see them, I look around the dark dirty warehouse, when I spotted a broken mirror on the other side of the room, I walk towards it with Emily's help, I let out a gasp at seeing my wings, I want to cry, like most fairies I had always imagined what my wings would look like.

They are big, a lot bigger than I could have ever imagined, they are a beautiful fiery red and orange with a hint of purple, I start crying happy tears, "They really are beautiful," I said to Emily as I watch as my wings begin to fade, I continue to look into the mirror long after my wings had disappeared.

"We need to go; we still have a serial killer to catch," Emily reminded me as to while we were here in the first place, I looked at her with a wet face, "Here," Emily says taking out some tissue paper, so she could clean my face, "You were amazing, I never knew you have that kind of magic inside of you," Emily tells me giving me a light kiss on my lips, we never normally kiss or show affection to each other when we are on the job, sometimes we might seal a kiss or two in the office.

After we pull back from each other, I look at the now dead burn one, "I cannot leave the creature here in the first world, I have to take it back to the other world," I said before looking at Emily, "To my world," I whisper the last part, I had never been back to my world since I left ten years ago, I walk over to the burn one bending down, "We thought you to been extinct, the last time we saw one of your kind was eleven years ago," I said knowing that even though I hadn't returned to my world and if the burn ones had truly returned, someone would of reach out to me to inform me, I would of most likely would have been called back, to once again help in the fight against the burn ones.

"It's not like you can just leave right now!" Emily says sounding anxious,

"I just need to open a little portal, step through with the creature, make a quick call, then come straight back," I tell her, I know Emily doesn't understand, I don't expect her to, "I promise to be back as soon as I can, stay safe," I tell her giving her a kiss, before I start to draw the magic symbols in the dirt, I start chanting the spell that opens up the portal, "wait for me, I will be back as soon as possible," I tell Emily giving her one last kiss before stepping through the portal with the burn one.
