Farah's PoV:

Our faces were only inches apart, "this was it," I thought as her lips were so close to mine, so very close that it was almost killing me, my whole body was humming with magic, my heart beating so fast against my rib cage, my chest rising up and down, the feel of her hot breath on my face, it felt like an eternity that neither one of us was moving, then just as I was about to move those last few inches, to claim her lips as mine again, when suddenly she straightened her back, stepping back just a little, only allowing our arms to remain touching.

To say I felt hurt would be an understatement, I felt my heart shatter, I wonder if that was how she felt all those years ago, when I let her go, the biggest mistake and regret of my life.

"We will talk later, in private, I promise," she says, I feel a sense of relief wash over me, glad we were going to have a talk, it hadn't escaped my notice that we were still standing very close to one another, arms still lightly touching, at her words the humming of my magic changed from a loud humming that refuse to let me move, to a very soft and gentle humming, I knew she felt it as well, I could see it in her eyes.

y/n finally turned her face away from me, breaking eye contact, however I kept my eyes on her beautiful face, studying every inch, her face hasn't changed much over the last ten years, sure she had a couple of fine lines around her eyes, and a tiny little scar on her upper jaw, apart from that her face was exactly as I remembered it, suddenly she frowned, her eyebrows turning into a V shape.

"Farah," she says, I turned my head so that I could follow her eye-line, I let out a gasp at seeing Saul, Ben and Queen Luna all frozen in time.

"What the hell?" I asked trying to get my head around what was happening, "We need to help them," I said as the realisation hit me that what was happening to them, wasn't affecting us, my first thought was blood witches was somehow behind what was happening here, then I remember Queen Luna talking about a coven of witches, making me wonder if these coven of witches and blood witches were working together somehow? And had they somehow managed to control the burned ones?

"Farah? why ain't we frozen?" y/n asked pulling me out of my thoughts, shaking my head slightly to clear my head, so that I could start thinking clearly.

"I don't know why we are not effected by whatever kind of magic is being used, however that is the good news, because that means we will be able to help our friends, first we need to find out if the rest of the school is frozen or if it is just Saul, Ben and Queen Luna, if it is the whole school, then we should head to the school library, the part of the library that students are not allowed access too, there may just be something in those ancient texts that might provide us with some answers and give us a way to be able to help everyone who has been effected," I tell her coming up with some kind of a plan as I have absolutely no idea what was happening right now, she gave me a little nod in agreement, before stepping away from me, the moment our arms are no longer touching, everyone started moving again.

We stood there watching them in amazements as Saul, Ben and Queen Luna seem to be completely unaware of what just happened to them.

"Are you all alright?" she asked walking over to them, I remain where i was, as something occurred to me, slowly I touch my upper arm right where our arms had been touching as I remember something that Rosalind had told me years ago, something until now I had forgotten.

Flashback:

"You know Farah, in all my years, I had never seen two fairies magic strongly connected as the both of you, it really does amaze me," Rosalind says standing tall by her desk with her hands behind her back. We had not long returned from a mission near the Adovair sea, it was one of the hardest missions we had been on, the journey to Adovair alone had been difficult, took us over three weeks to travel there, being attack by burned ones almost on a daily basis.

"Because we are in love, we have a very strong connection, we have from the moment we met," I said without thought.

"Oh, believe me, I know... unfortunately that connection may also be very dangerous for you both," Rosalind tells me, I give her a questionable look.

"How so?" I asked from my seat.

"Years ago, before I became headmistress of Alfea there were these two students, very much in love, like yourself, they also had a strong connection, not as strong as yours, maybe if they was given time their might of gotten stronger over time, unfortunately we will never know, as one of them was killed, leaving the other completely devastated, so heartbroken in fact that she couldn't live without him by her side, she ended up taking her own life, I see the same thing happening to you both, you two together are so powerful, I saw the two of you do things with your magic that I have only read about in books, the two of you can be the most powerful fairies in all the six realms Farah, the two of you might be the key to winning this war against the burned ones, however it will come at great cost to you both" Rosalind tells me.

"If we can put an end to this war, then we will, no matter what the cost, am willing to pay it if it saves lives and puts an end to the war once and for all," I tell Rosalind, prepared to do whatever it takes.

"Once the war is over, you must end your relationship forever Farah, the two of you are too powerful and two strong, your love for each other will consume you both until there is nothing left, you will be doing you both a great kindness, are you aware that she is thinking about giving up her dream of joining the FBI for you?," Rosalind asked me.

"I won't let her; she will be amazing working with the FBI," why was Rosalind saying all this, what happened to those two fairies is a tragedy that wouldn't happen to us surely, beside she doesn't have to give up her dream job with the FBI, as I'm planning on going to the other world to live myself so we can be together forever.

"You know how stubborn and strong will she can been, I'm not trying to be spiteful, I only making you aware of the situation, Farah you are very smart, unfortunately when it comes to y/n you think with your heart not your head," Rosalind says walking around her desk, taking out a small book and handing it to me, "there may come a day that you will finally be able to see the truth in my words, when that day comes, and it will come I hope it isn't too late, that you end your relationship with y/n, there is a spell in that book I just gave you, to cut the magical connection the two of you share, forever, it may just save you both and others lives," Rosalind explained to me.

End Flashback:

I stand there touching my upper arm, looking at everyone now unfrozen, had Rosalind been right this whole time? I had never used that book Rosalind gave me, I never use that spell to break the connection between us, and why i had forgotten all about that conversation with Rosalind all those years ago? What the hell was going on here? None of this made sense, obviously that conversation had taken placed before the events of Astra Dell.

I hate to even consider the possibility that our magic had caused everyone in the room to become frozen in time, before I do or say anything, I need to learn more about magical connections, because I have a feeling that with everything else that is happening it cannot be a coincidence that I have a memory of a conversation long forgotten.
