Ch .1: BIGHIT Entertainment

"Just breathe." I kept telling myself as I watched those around me slowly get called in to audition one by one. Of course I would be last my last name does start with a T.... Wow. I can't believe I'm doing this. I can't believe I let those two talk me into auditioning for Big Hit Entertainment. Me as a Kpop Idol? Haha good luck trying to imagine that. First off I'm not even Korean, or any forms of Asian. I am 100% pure Hawaiian blood from head to toe. Which leads me to my next issue, my skin tone. I would probably consider myself as a medium tan but still fairness is everything in Korean media. Last of all, my weight. I think I was the biggest one out of all of the other girls in the room. I'm not saying I'm overweight or anything but I'm definitely not as small as most female Korean idols.
"Number 103." My thoughts were interrupted by a small short haired lady with a clipboard up to her face. I stared at her with a blank expression on my face. She looked up from the clipboard with stern eyes. "It is your turn to audition." I began feeling chills all over the back of my neck. I took a deep breath. You can do this. Fighting!
The auditorium was a lot bigger than I had expected it to be. Maroon colored chairs surrounded the stage. The room was empty except for three chairs in the middle of the whole crowd. Fortunately, I couldn't see their faces so I was able to feel a bit more comfortable.
"Alexus Tupou?" It was a woman's voice. She had a very high pitched but a calm and kind voice. I nodded.
"Yes, that is correct."
"And what will you be singing today?" This time It was a man speaking. He had a very nice deep voice but it sounded as if he didn't care at all about my song choice
"I will be singing Heaven by Ailee."
"Good luck!" It was another woman's voice deeper than the one before. She sounded excited, I hope she was excited because of my song choice and not because I was the last person auditioning for today. The instrumental began playing over the speakers and I immediately lost myself into the beautiful melody.
