Do you mind if we share? Words I have never had to hear. Words I never want to hear. But somehow, some way, I don't mind sharing with him. I barely even know his name. Now that I think about it, I don't know his name at all. "Oh- uhm- yeah, no of course!" Shit. I stuttered.

"Cool. Thanks, I suppose." After that we were met with terrible awkward silence. It had to be at least 10 seconds before I decided to figure out the mystery boy's name.

"So, what's your name?" God, I sound like I am terribly flirting with a girl. But I am not flirting. This is much more awkward than any interaction I have ever had with a girl.

"It's Luca." He mumbled quietly. I couldn't tell if I was making him uncomfortable. His name was barely audible but I heard it. Luca. That was such a pretty name.

Sometimes I wonder how I got stuck with the name 'Elijah', it's literally the most basic and stupid name ever. However, several nicknames come out of it that I enjoy much more. For instance, Eli, EJ, Ellie, sometimes even just 'E'.

"That's a pre-nice name." I replied. No fucking way I almost just said pretty. I know I said it in my head, but saying it outloud is a whole different thing. What the hell is going on? I can talk to anyone. I'm good at that. But why can't I talk to Luca like a goddamn normal human.

Now that he's actually in front of me and I am not staring at him from across a class room, I realize just how feminine his features are. How pretty this boy was. Sure, I have looked at a dude before and thought they were good looking in a bro kind-of-way, but Luca was different.

I looked at him and got that feeling that I get when I see the most gorgeous girl on the street. Alright I am quickly putting this thought to a close.

"So... stalker-man, what's your name?" He returned.
"Stalker-man?" I question. A light smile fell across his lips (that my eyes lingered on for a little bit too long).
"I mean, it makes sense. I see you stare at me during school and now we suddenly end up at the same place in the middle of nowhere at the same time? Does that not sound at least a little stalkerish to you?" Well, shit. He noticed. But I wasn't staring at him for any other reason besides I was curious about his backstory. Nothing else.
"I- well, I've been coming here for...for like forever- and," I sounded so nervous replaying back all the words that just fell out of my mouth, in my head. God I am such an embarrassment.
"Dude, relax I am kidding. Really, what's your name?" He cut me off. I felt myself release a breath I hadn't known I'd been holding.
"It's Elijah. But you can call me Ej or, eli or whatever." Luca let out a small giggle. I couldn't tell if he was laughing at me or my name.
"Okay, hi 'Whatever'." I immediately scoff.

"Oh come on." I groan playfully.

I can already tell, he and I are going to get along great.
