YOU SAT on your trunk, hands resting on your lap, fingers clenched around your woolen gray skirt. Sitting there, in front of the gates that sat between the train platform and the carriages, you could do nothing but curse your terrible luck. Steam and fog streamed between the surge of students, all yelling and talking at each other. There was a wave of excitement in the air amidst a sliver of anxiety but perhaps that anxiety was all you.

As you sat there, umbrella held over your head, all you could do was watch with bated breath for Lee and the twins to appear from within the midst of the hundreds of students. You watched a bunch of younger kids, first-years you presumed, giggle as they split off from the rest of the giant crowd, being instructed by Hagrid who towered over them. They huddled in little groups, holding suitcases over their heads with smiles plastered on their faces while you watched in silent solitude.

Their eyes glimmered under the darkened sky, pointing at the castle which sat just a short boat ride away. Even now you could still remember the reflections of the stars coming off the lakes, sparkling so beautifully that you were tempted to just jump in. Cho had giggled when you had spoken your thoughts, adding that she would join you. It was truly one of the few times at Hogwarts where you felt like you belonged. Now, not so much.

Your eyes scanned back and forth over the rest of the crowd, making note of the few people you knew who most likely had no clue who you were. There was the infamous Harry Potter, ghostly pale as he chewed on a chocolate bar slowly. His two friends, Weasley and Granger, stood beside him, holding umbrellas over their heads and his. They ushered him toward the carriages whispering under their breaths. Behind them was another Weasley, walking briskly alongside a nervous boy whose name you didn't know.

As they walked past you, you couldn't help but stare at Harry. His brown hair looked longer this year, slightly shaggy and sticking up in some places. His green eyes shone beneath the circular lenses of his glasses. Honestly, you couldn't deny that Cho had good taste. Although, you personally were far more interested in the ever-so-charming Oliver Wood. Not only was he older but he was so... goal-oriented. Plus, unlike Harry, he wasn't in constant danger, save for rogue bludgers.

Just as if he were summoned, Oliver Wood appeared, laughing beside a few of his teammates. You couldn't help the twitch of a smile across your lips, cheeks flushing as you averted your gaze. You knew that Cho frequently said your crush was a form of treason against the Ravenclaw Quidditch team but you really couldn't help it. Now that it was his last year at Hogwarts, you weren't sure how you would tell him or if you ever would. Maybe, if there was a spot open on the Quidditch team, you would try out for a spot.

The second you knew Oliver was gone, you looked back up, searching for Fred and George once more. Surely you'd hear one of them before you saw them and after that, you would probably hear Lee too. Instead, you caught a glimpse of a familiar-looking boy, with a yellow scarf wrapped around him. He smiled alongside his friends, dimples blossoming at the corners of his lips and eyes crinkling with delight. You were sure you had seen that smile somewhere before, but when, you didn't know.
