      I woke up squinting my eyes from the brightness of the sun coming through my bare window. I sat up rubbing my eyes. I looked around my now empty room. It wasn't nothing but a few boxes and my bed of course. Last night was my last night sleeping here, my mom had recently gotten engaged and she was moving us to go live with her fiancé and his son. Of course I met her fiancé Damon , or D he's cool I think he's a good fit for my mama. I had never met his son though, for some reason he was never free whenever I had to come around. I never even seen a picture of the kid , all I know is that he's 19 and he's "nice" in my moms words. The move wasn't going to be that hard to adjust to, cause we were only moving a couple cities over to Jackson. My favorite cousin had moved there 3 years ago so I was happy to be closer to her.

     "RYAN! Get dressed it's time to leave!" My mom yelled from the living room

    "Okay!" I yelled back and got up going through a box with basic clothes in it

    I pulled out a cropped T shirt, some sweats and threw on my house slides, I grabbed my phone, my charger , and anything else I thought I might need for the ride.

I headed to the living room and found my mom and D loading some things into the truck so that the movers wouldn't have to work too hard.

"You ready to get on the road?" My mom asked me adjusting my bun

"Yea, I guess so." I said taking a bite out of a nature valley bar that was in my purse.

"You said your final goodbyes?"

"No one to say bye to mama." I said rolling my eyes

"Well , now you have a fresh start to meet new people. Maybe your brother can introduce you to some people."

I cringed at her calling him my brother. "Um, yea maybe. I said sarcastically

            I didn't have any real friends here in Destin, all the friends I had ended up switching up once me and my ex broke up, The whole situation was weird. So since then I just been keeping to myself. I haven't even told anyone I was leaving.

"How ya feeling Ry?" D asked walking up to me

      "I don't know, ready to get there I guess." I said shrugging

      "Well, I hope you like it there! I think you'll like the room you're in. You and Horace will be upstairs but he shouldn't bother you much." He said smiling

     I scrunched up my eyebrows. "Horace?" My mom had never mentioned anybody by that name

"Horace my son, well let him tell it , his name is Nardo." He said chuckling

"Oh yea, I'm sure I'll like it tho."

    He smiled and nodded. "I'm gonna go finish helping your moms out so we can get going." He said walking away

I sighed today should be interesting. I walked up to the truck, got in and closed the door till the movers finished and we were on the road.

     "Mane, why you can't just slide now and we hit the trail later?" Dom said squinting his eyes

      I was on group FaceTime with my guys Dom and Juice.

    "Cause nigga, I already told you my pops girl and her daughter moving in today." I said scratching the back of my head

"So basically, yo mama and yo sister." Dom goofy ass said making Juice laugh

   "Ain't even funny nigga." I scrunched my face up

    "How old her daughter?" Juice smirked in the camera

     "Hoe ass nigga." Dom was laughing

    "Ion know, I think around our age or something." I said while shrugging

    "Is she fine?" Juice asked, he laid back on whatever he was sitting on

I smacked my lips. "I don't know mane ain't seen her."

"Damn better hope she not cause I'm on that." Juice said laughing along with Dom

"Mane, ima text yall niggas when to come swoop." I said before hanging up

Them niggas is fools, but they been rocking with me since jits. I got up going to my closet looking for some shit to wear to the trail tonight. It be dirty asf out there but I can't be out here looking dusty in front of these bitches. I got out a clean fit then heard somebody calling my phone. I jogged to it , seeing it was my pops. I picked it up.

    "Ya?" I answered

    "Aye, open the door to Ryan's room then come downstairs to help. We're down the street."

"Ight." I said before hanging up

I tossed my phone on the bed and groaned, I ain't feel like moving shit. I put my fit on then texted the groupchat telling my boys to pull up so I could leave as soon as they got here. I stuffed my phone in my pocket and walk over to the room my step sister would be in. I shook my head at the thought. I was happy for my pops and his lady was cool, but we was living just fine by ourselves. Once I looked in the room my mind wondered off to what Juice and them was saying. I wonder what she looking like fr. Ima be mad then a mf if she fine.

      Ahhaaa thats it for this first chapter 😂 I was gone do more but first chapters a teaserrr *
