GRAY'S POV
While I was walking my way to the Blacksmith, I sneak in and hid beside Claire's House. I was curious when i heard that she was talking with someone. I take a look and it was just the Harvest Sprites. After that she got inside of the house and the Harvest Sprites began working. Suddenly, I saw Rick walking this way, so i hid at the back portion of her house.
I listened to their conversation but it was just about the chicken. Then I realized what i'm doing.
What the hell is wrong with me? Congrats Gray! You passed and became a stalker now. I've waited Rick to leave. Oh he's leaving so i run as fast as i can!
Lucky of me I just arrived in the nick of time. I was panthing when i grabbed the door knob.
"Hmm. You're in time today. I thought you're gonna be late again."
I just ignored him and i seated to my chair and started my work.
CLAIRE'S POV
"Hey Guys! You can take your snacks. I've gotta go to the Supermarket ok?"
"Sure Budum!" They all answered.
"Ok thanks! Take care of the farm!"
Now, what should I buy? I remembered! I will buy some seeds too! I'll buy for summer seeds too. Especially corn. They are Gray's favorite. I know a lot about Gray. But now, he's changed a lot. Hmm... I should buy a cow and a sheep too. Well i have enough money anyway.
I came inside in the Supermarket and I saw Karen talking his Dad.
"You should let them pay, Dad!" Karen shouted.
"Ok. I'll make sure of that. Oh a costumer! Welcome!"
Karen glanced at me and walked towards me.
"Um..sorry for that arguing thing. By the way, how are you?"
"I'm fine Karen! I'm here to buy some seeds for Spring and Summer."
"Oh ok. Here!"
"Thanks! Here's the payment!" I handed the money to her.
"Well I heard from Popuri and Ann you liked the Doctor."
I blushed. "R-really?"
"Yeah. But you know you're not perfect to each other. I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings but it's only my opinion. I think the Doctor likes Elli but there's no harm in trying to not giving up right?"
"Yep. It's really ok. It's just a crush. I can't love him directly. "
"Why don't we go to the Inn?" Karen asked me.
"Sure!"
GRAY'S POV
It's lunch break already. I bid goodbye to gramps and got out.
I've made my way to the Inn easily.
When i opened the door, I saw Cliff, Ann, Claire and Karen talking. Claire noticed and greeted me.
"Hello Gray!"
"Oh Gray! What do you want to eat now?" Ann asked.
"Umm...the usual."
I seated beside Claire. I think they are having fun.
"Hey Gray! We we're talking about you."
"Yup! It's about your childhood. Claire told us."
"Oh i see."
Ann place my order and start eating.
"Are you angry to me Gray?" Claire looked to me with a sad face.
"Of course not! Why should i? You're my bestfriend!" I blurted out.
"Oh, really? Thanks! I'm really sorry."
"It's ok. It happened already."
I notice that they are looking at us. Ugh! That was awkward! I blushed hard and hid my face using the bill of my cap.
"Hey! You really do like a couple!" Karen exclaimed.
"H-hey! That's too much! We're just friends!"
Why do my heart feels like it was struck when i heard the word friend?
I guess i'm always her friend.
"Yeah they're just friends! Because Claire likes the Doctor!" Ann suddenly covered her mouth.
I was shocked! I ..i don't know what to say. It was like my world turn upside down.
"Hey gotta go back to work." I said without looking at them.
CLAIRE'S POV
After Ann said that i blushed. Then Gray suddenly stood up and said he's going back to work. He didn't even looked at us! Me! What's gotten into him?
After that silence, I stand up and I wave my hand to them saying goodbye.
It was afternoon already and i've got to clean my farm. But the big rock is on the way. Only Gray can help me this. But i have a feeling he doesn't want to talk me now. I don't know why but i got this feeling i hurt him.
Ugh! I can't take it anymore! I run to the Blacksmith.
"Hey Gray! Hello Mr. Saibara! May i borrow Gray for a minute?"
"Sure! You can take him anytime."
Gray stood up from his seat and followed me outside.
"Gray, we need to talk."
"Sure." He said coldly.
"Did i did something to hurt you?"
"Nope." He answered directly.
"Please Gray. I want to know it."
"Fine! I was angry because you didn't told me about it!"
So that's it!
"I'm sorry Gray. I didn't knew that i've hurt my bestfriend so much!"
I started crying but to comfort me, he suddenly hugged me.
"Ssshh. Stop crying already. It was my fault for ignoring you earlier."
I stopped and crying and look to him.
Wh-why just my heart start pounding?
"You know what? I want to give up to be a farmer."
GRAY'S POV
"You know what? I want to give up to be a farmer."
I was shocked. No! I won't let you Claire! I don't want to lose you again!
"Please don't give up! You're the reason why i've been working so hard!"
She was shocked.
"Everytime I saw you doing your farm work, I was impressed! Even it's hard, you're still trying your best! That made me to work harder too."
Claire just looked at me.
"You know what? If i forge something good, i'll give it to you. Just promise me don't leave this town. Please! I can't afford losing you again!"
Claire was terribly shocked!
"Ok. If it's with you then, I won't give up!" Claire smiled.
Then we watched the sunset together. I'll make sure i won't break that promise!
