"hey, they look like beauty and the beast." you look down as you heard students whispering. You walk side to side with Reo, since he's your classmate and your childhood friend.

"she looks like an ugly leech attached with them." you heard another whispers. They keep talking about you when you're with him or the team.

"(f/n)-chan, ignore them, they are just jealous at you, and for being close with us." Reo said as he can also hear them saying.

"yeah don't worry about me, I'm fine." you smile, assuring him that you're fine. But actually ever since you and Reo been inseparable since kids every kids, classmates called the two of you, beauty and the beast. Reo's the beauty and you're the beast. Since Reo is beautiful for a man and you, you feel the exact opposite of his beauty. But for him you're only the beauty in his eyes.

"Reo we can spend time later for now go with your teammates. " you said as he sigh in defeat.

"okay." you said as you stop arranging your things to give them your attention.

"you're with him again huh?" she said as she slapped you. "what's your relationship with them especially him?" judging with the attitude, seems they're one of the die hard fans of the basketball team and emphasizing the word him, knowing it's Reo.

"of course I am, I'm his friend." you answer in all honesty. "we're all friends, I mean close friends." you added as you held your cheek where she slapped.

She slapped you again, hard and glare at you "listen here, ugly chick, you'll never be in their league, you just look like their maid. I warn you, stay away from them or you'll see what'll happen " she warned you as you keep your self in control, trying to calm your raging nerves.

"Yeah you're right." he said "that's why I like you." he mumbles.

"huh? what's that?" you asked him.

"okay " you shrugged it off.
