"So you 're not worried about her at all?" Kristen asked in a very sonorous voice.

Kristen was just finishing up her 2nd cup of coffee this evening, She looked like a mess. She was tapping her finger on the side of the Best mom in bold on the front. I had given it to her when she in fact did become a mother.

"It's not like I haven't been concerned, but I'm sure she's fine" I responded by tapping the counter with my fingers.  Kristen thinks one of our children is acting a bit erratic.  She had become very Silent along with frequent isolation and so on ,but I feel like something is going on at school which could be the case but in her eyes she thinks her daughter is a complete psycho or one of those possessed children in horror movies, specifically speaking insidious.

Kristen had sighed, laying her head on the dark wooden table.
"You must think i'm seeing things or just becoming paranormal..." she mumbled looking at me.
She had taken one look to the side Jolting up a bit putting her hand over her chest  redeeming  herself.

It was Covery.

I assume she had woken up probably hungry or something, she had this dull look on her face that was very emotionless. it made my hair stand up. her dark brown hair was all in a frizz and messy.
"Is there any leftover dinner?" She asked moving her body side to side still starting at one particular spot.

I had nodded my head slowly looking in the fridge to see if there were any leftovers shifting my eyes from one side to another, I found nothing. Kristen Must have given it away or threw it out when cleaning the fridge earlier that night.

"Sorry kiddo... found nothing, I don't think we have anymore"
She scoffed sitting down on the bar stool with her toy monster truck in her hand.
I had shut the fridge door looking over at her.

"Covery, it's getting late, I could give you a piece of fruit but that's about it" I responded as she tilted her head accepting the offer. I had walked over to the dinning table reaching for a honey crisp apple, my wife buys them at least twice a month.

I had walked back into the kitchen over towards covey handing her the apple. she gave me a half toothless  smile before getting off the bar stool and heading upstairs. no goodnight or anything.

"I knew it, your face shows it" My wife said from behind me with a grin.
"what..?" I asked concerned what she was talking about.

She likes to state I have faces for everything weather its the "I know you're lying" or "please shut the hell up" I found it funny until she took it very serious and started to notice them predicting what they meant.

"You found Covery a bit unusual...You seemed tense"  She said sitting her mug down rubbing her forehead.
I do actually if i'm honest...

"I mean kinda? I still think it's something with school or lacrosse"
My wife sighed and stared at her mug.
"Alright" Was the last thing she said before she herself went upstairs with a long sigh.

I had pondered thinking if something was really up with Covery, I never really believed in possession or paranormal behavior but I might as well be a look out.  I had  eventually cleaned out the mug filled with coffee and sat it in the sink before turning off the lights and started up the stairs.

It's just school...
Once I reached the top of the stairs I saw Covery sitting outside her door with the monster truck still in her hand and the half eaten apple that was nearly brown.
she had just stared at me watching my every move.

Its just school...
"Shouldn't you be in bed? You have a lacrosse game tomorrow..." I mumbled, the sudden tension became immense.
She didn't answer and continued to stare at me as I walked into the bedroom shutting the door slowly.

That night I took my wife's word, something did seem off..
It was far from "School"
