Obviously, I was not alive during the 19th century so I am not aware of every law, fashion, grammar, etc. that they had.Everything in this books is purely off of research I have done on my own.
With that being said, there are a lot of things that are true about the 19th century in this book.
Like, the following:
- Grammar: it make not be 100% accurate but, I did my best.
- Fashion
- The Palace of Versailles and Gardens: There might be a few small details changed but for the most part, everything is true
- Some Laws
Things that I have changed, (because this is a fictional story and I simply can):
Certain Royalty rules, including the following:
- Sharing Beds
- Bathing
- Having Sex with Spectators (this honestly disgusts me. I understand why they did it but, I will not be partaking in writing such a thing- except once, there will be ONE single scene)
- Laws (I have made some up or altered others)Trigger Warnings:
• Death
• Attempted Killings
• Mentions of Rape
• Mentions of Miscarriage, (one) Still-born, and threatenings of "disposing" of a baby (because there is no proof it is the rightful heir—THIS DOES NOT ACTUALLY HAPPEN)
There will be some French throughout the book, and it's all from a translator app because I do not speak French lol. Check the comments for translations!
