Chapter 1

My name is Ines. Ines Jaburnee.
I am the only daughter of Duke and duchess Jaburnee.
My older brother,Izek is the next heir to the Jaburnee duchy.
But why? Why am I the one suffering for what they want to achieve?
'My lady!' Huh? What was I doing just now?
'My lady?' 'Ah! Yes you can come in!'
'My Lady the designer has departed to decide on a dress for your coming of age ceremony.' My coming of age ceremony..yes there was something like that after all.
The big day which will start my most miserable days,more miserable than they already are. However with a 'big and bright smile' I can only answer 'Yes! Let's get ready then'. 'Also,be sure to prepare some of the best refreshments.'
'Yes my lady'
As my headmaid dresses me and combes my long dark hair I am looking at myself in the mirror.
My under eyes are as dark as the night sky.
I look like I haven't slept in weeks,why? I don't remember not getting enough sleep.
Luckily my headmaid,Isabelle made them go away with some powder.
'My lady, Miss Rosalie Decker has arrived' the butler announced.
Ah the designer has arrived,very well let's go meet her.
As I am deciding on a dress for my coming of age,I do some small talk with Rosalie, nothing too extravagant since I'm not too interested in her. Although a lot of nobles admire her dresses and always look for an appointment with her.
'My lady Ines do the dresses suit your taste?'
I ignore her and look through the dresses. 'Ah that red dress' I mumble.
'Ah yes? Do you like this dress?'
'Yes I like it very much,please tailor it to my size.'
'Yes My Lady!'
After the tailoring is done the night already has come.
Lying on my bed,I realised I haven't seen or talked to anyone in my family.
How peaceful,with tears coming to light I wish for everyday to be like this, just not talking to any of them. They're selfish and only care about the rebellion they are planning. I wish they where dead. Both my parents,my brother and also me.
How peaceful would it be if I were to be dead? I wouldn't have to act on anyones command and could just rest in the afterlife.
Slowly while crying I cried myself to sleep.
The next morning of course I woke up with red and swollen eyes.
'My lady are you not feeling well? You look a bit pale and your eyes are a little swollen ..'
'It's fine I just didn't sleep well last night,I stayed up studying a bit too much.'
'I see, don't worry My Lady I will make sure you will look beautiful for the Crown prince today!'
'The crown prince? I didn't receive any letter announcing that the Crown prince will be visiting today.'

Isabelle is looking at me with a somewhat feared expression. 'Ah.. the duke received the letter just today.'
'I see..' is the only words I could get out of my mouth right now.
'D..don't worry princess I will make you look very cute and beautiful for his Highness' she stuttered.
I don't say anything and just let her do her thing.
A royal blue dress, my hair beautifully done.. Isabella is really working hard,it's kind of cute. As I am done and ready to meet the crown prince I thank Isabella and make my way to the room he is waiting for me.
I get announced and get into the room.
His eyes meet mine and we sit there in silence for a few minutes.
'What is it? Why are you here?' I break the silence.
'I came here to find out which color you have picked out for your coming of age ceremony. Since I am your fiancé and it won't look good if we don't match.
What ? He came here for such a trival matter,he could've just send someone else to find out. Would've been more convenient for me too.
'Such a trival matter,you could've just send someone else,now what's the real reason you are here?' I respond.
As his ears get a bit red and his hand on his face he takes a second to respond.
W-wel I just wasn't too far away from the mansion so I decided to come here myself since I was near anyways'.
I look at him trying to understand how this makes any sense.
'Red,the dress is red. Now if his highness doesn't mind,I would like to ask for you to dismiss me.'
'You're dismissed..'
I look at him for a second before I excuse myself and leave the room.
What is it? Why did he look at me like that? As if he expected something.
Why doesn't he just come out with it and say he came here to keep an eye on me.
All of you are keeping an eye on me.
All of you,mother,father,brother,and you.
The Crown prince and my fiancé,Rezef Besa.
I hate you,I hate all of you.
Why? I didn't do anything wrong. Why are all of you keeping an eye on me and make me suffer? Just why? Please tell me.
'My lady Ines!' I turn around,the butler came to find me. 'What is it?' I ask. 'The duke is calling you to his study' Father is calling me... I really don't want to go.
'Alright lead the way'. I respond.
