Volume 1 | chapter 6

'I said it's fine' he said.
'Ah yes,alright then.' I answer in disbelief. Okay then. Does he really not mind? I should slap him more often then.
'Are you not going back to the ballroom anymore?' He asks.
'Ah no, I'm not feeling well so I'll go back to my chambers and rest.' Obviously I'm lying. I don't want to see anyone in that room anymore so I'll just go back to my room and wait for tomorrow so we can go back to our mansion.
'Alright then,be careful on your way back.' What? Is he just being polite? But there is no one around tho.

Normally he would cry right about now about his long lost,ugly,dead childhood girlfriend to me and say it's all my fault.
'Alright then your highness,then excuse me.' I bow my head to him and leave to my chambers. Luckily It's not far away so I got here pretty quickly.

'Your highness Ines' it's Isabelle, my maid.
'What's wrong why are you back already ?'
'I just got tired and want to sleep,you don't have to get me ready for bed either so you're free to go.' I answer
'Alright then,have a good night,your highness.' She bows her head and leaves. Finally,I'm alone.

I'm staying in the palace tonight since I just became the crown princess and every member of the royal family needs to have a personal knight. I'm going to choose one tomorrow. I need to be careful whom to choose tho.. Since I'm going to need to pick one who will keep his mouth shut and help me with my plan. My father is planning a rebellion in 3 months, so I'll have to wipe out the army he build through out the years to postpone that plan of his. I'll need a good reason to get out of town since half of them are on the country side. And he wouldn't notice it until he has to. So first the army outside the capital. Then the army inside the capital. Alright.
Laying on the bed I'm thinking of what happened this week already .
Like the time Rezef came to my home to find out what Colour dress I was wearing. Now that I'm thinking about it his suit today also had red accents. Why? He never bothered before to do something like matching on a banquet we would attend together. H would always wear something that does not go with my dress at all. He would also always send one of his servants to find out what colour I was wearing too.
And how red he got in his ears when he asked about the Colour? Was he embarrassed to ask? I don't get it's making my head hurt.
Just now.. it was as if he was in a trans for a moment, what was he thinking about? And then he acted kind of weird? Like not crying about Amara to me and snarling at me about her. What was that about. Thinking about it makes me shiver.

I decide not to think about it anymore ad go to sleep. I need to wake up early after all...
Closing my eyes and falling asleep..I..

'Ines, why?'
'Why? Hahahahahaha because they made my life hell, you all did! That's why!'
'I could've given you everything, I would've done anything for you. Even this. Why did you have to get involved yourself?'
'Haha, you would've done even this for me? If I asked you then, you would have done this for me and make them pay for what they did to me?'
'Yes, I would've done it, but you got yourself involved. Why? Just why? Do you hate me that much?
'Hahahaha' holding the sword he is pointing at me and leading it to my throat.
'Rezef. My dear husband... How kind of you.' I look at him while his eyes fill out with tears. His eyebrows furrowed and a weirdly sad look. Yes it looks really sad but for me. It looks like heaven.
'Why?' He asks again.
'Why? You want to know why?!' I look at him for a second with total anger. But also sadness in my eyes. He doesn't say Anything he just looks at me. With that goddamn annoying sad face and his eyes red because of the tears that are still going down .
'I rather go down with them, then staying still alive together with you.' I answer his question with utter disgust in my voice.
His eyebrows start to furrow even harder, his lips are bleeding because he is biting them and his eyes fill even more tears. He grips his sword, swings it and before I know it my mind goes blank.

I'm slowly opening my eyes. Huh? What was that dream. I can hardly remember anything of it. Why was Rezef crying tho?
'Your highness Ines ! Let's get ready you get to pick your own knight today! How exiting! Let's get ready, your highness!'  Isabelle. How is she so energetic every morning?
'Yes. Let's get ready then.' Is the only I can say right now.

The story is finally getting some action! Next chapters are only gonna be more exiting! And obvi the spice is coming too. Very soon, just a bit more patient!
