You were absolutely freaked out. Tomorrow was the day the new member joined the avengers. You were really surprised Tony let anybody else join the avengers, after you convinced him that Matt and Eddie should join. But that wasn't the problem, it was how awkward you were with strangers, and how nervous you got when you have to meet new people.

"It's just one guy", said Steve, trying to calm me down.
"One guy? There are three people joining", answered Tony.
Your heart dropped as your eyes widened. Three? You can't do that, not three people at the same time. As you were already considering to leave the avengers, when Tony asked: "Y/N, you can give them the tour right?"
Oh hell no, no fucking way. You, a 16-year old avenger with social anxiety? You looked up at Tony and stared into his soul.
"Nope, how about you do that, and I sit in my room listening to depressing music?"
Tony sighed and walked over to you. Putting his hand on your shoulder, he said: "You can do it, and if you need any of us, you know where to find us."
Before you could give any protest, he walked out of the room. Hopelessly you looked at Steve, who shrugged his shoulders.
"Sweetie, it's going to be okay. You are going to do amazing. Just don't try to stress so much."
"Yeah sure, I can do that. Just... don't stress."

You were stressed. You looked at your phone. 11 pm. Okay, they were coming around 2 pm. You can do this. Just go to sleep.

2 am. It was 2 am. You let out a frustrated groan as you turned onto your side. Closing your eyes, you imagined all the possible ways it could go wrong. No, don't think about it, you said to yourself. Just sleep.

You didn't know when you fell asleep, but the last time you checked your phone, it was 3 am. Now you were sitting in the kitchen, fork in your hand, staring at your pancakes. Normally, you loved pancakes. You would devour them in one bite. But now, you couldn't get anything in you mouth. You sighed as you put your fork down and looked on your phone. 1 am. You should probably get ready. Oh no, you should get ready. That means they are almost here. Trying to ignore the feeling, you walked upstairs to your room and picked out an outfit.
Every two minutes, you checked your phone, hoping that it wasn't later. You cleaned yourself up and put on the outfit. 30 minutes left. You did your makeup. 15 minutes left. You brushed your hair. 10 minutes left. As the minutes passed by, you got more and more nervous. Why did Tony let me do this? Getting lost in your thoughts, you heard Jarvis say: "Miss/Sir Y/L/N, they are here."

Shit shit shit shit. You rushed downstairs and saw somebody already standing there. He had dark brown curls and brown eyes. His skin was lightly tinted and he was wearing dark blue jeans, grey sneakers and a navy t-shirt.

"Uh hi, welcome, I'm Y/N Y/L/N. You must be the new teammate!" Your heart was pounding, as an uncomfortable feeling spreads trough your body. The stranger locked his eyes with you, and smiled.

"Hey, I'm Marc Spector, it's nice to meet you", he said, stretching his arm out to offer you a hand. You hesitantly accepted his hand and shook it, only to immediately pull it back and continue to play with you rings.
Because of your nervousness, you didn't realize there was only one person here.

"Oh, I thought there were three people joining, they must be late", you said, laughing nervously.
"No no they are already here", Marc replied.
What? You furrowed your eyebrows and looked in the room. Without thinking, you asked: "Wait where? Oh no, I get it. Their powers are invisibility. No I'm joking. Well maybe, am I right? I'm probably not."
You heard a soft chuckle and looked up at this face.
"Not really, good guess tho. I have alters. Their names are Steven Grant and Jake Lockley."

Alters? Wait, you heard about this before. Trying to act as normal as possible, you replied: "Oh yeah I heard about that before. That's pretty cool, I think. I don't know. Is it? You know what, you don't have to answer that", you rambled on.
