Your POV
Your team looks up at the championship poster declaring Team New Emperor as having recently signed up for the Square King Cup.
"We're not actually doing this, right?" T/M 1 asks nervously. You shoot them a glare.
"No, we're just gonna stand here like chickens. What do you think?"
~Time skip brought to you by Emperor's smirk~
SPLAT!
"Aaaaand the team leaders splat each other in the last second of the game!" The commentator exclaims, excited.
"Now to see who won!" You and your team walk to the center of the stage to meet Team New Emperor.
"Team New Emperor wins!" You grin at Prinz, the opposing team's leader, and he smiles shyly back. You turn to shake his hand, but something odd happens.
As soon as your fingertips touch his, the world fades out and he shyly meets your eyes. His hand is warm and soft in yours, and you say,
"Good game." You grin again, and he nods, then slips his hand out of yours, and walks off the stage with his team.
You stood there staring at where he was just standing. That was the first time you touched someone in months...
