Agent 3.5! Rider x Kidnapped! Reader

     Your POV

You and Rider are walking around an empty Arowana Mall, enjoying the peaceful quiet while holding hands. You had confessed to him a month ago, and surprisingly, he said he felt the same. Ever since the two of you got together, you had gone on dates almost every other night.

All of a sudden, a certain blue inkling landed right at your feet.

"Oh- hi, Goggles! Watcha doing here?" You kept your voice light as you wrapped your arms around Rider, holding him back.

"Hi Y/N! Hi, Rider! I didn’t come alone- We have a problem." You glance around, and notice two more inklings walking over, each a different color. Rider grimaced.

"I'm sorry N/N, but I have to take care of something…" You nodded and let go, giving him a kiss on the cheek and glaring at the two girls.

"Okay! Call me when you're done, alright?" He nodded, trying to hide his blush. What a tsundere… You waved to Goggles and turned into your squid/octoling form to super jump to Inkopolis Square, but as you jumped away, you heard the green squid tell Rider,

“The octolings are stealing the zapfish again.”

~Mini time skip~

You land in the center of the Square, walking over to Grizzco to work a few shifts,and the grate opens right in front of you. Curious, you peek in, and glasses are shoved onto your face.

    Rider’s POV
“The octolings are stealing the zapfish again.”

I sigh, watching Y/N super-jump away. After they disappear from my line of sight, I notice Goggles sneaking up behind me. Grabbing onto my belt, I ask,

“How many are missing?”

~Time skip to after the zapfish levels~

I go back to Inkopolis Square, noting the pitch-black sky. Unlocking my phone, I select the call button under Y/N’s contact, but it goes straight to voicemail, which would only happen if they hung up. I frown and try again. This time, they pick up.

“Hey, N/N, are you home?”

“Yes, I am” Their voice sounds strangely robotic.

“Are you alright? Your voice sounds a bit off…” A rustling sound comes from the other end.

“I don’t know, Rider. I might not be. Why were you with those girls for so long?” My eyes widen.

“It's not like that, I swear.” I hear a scoff.

“Then what is it like? You leave our date when two girls show up, and then you don’t call until after dark!” I bite my tongue. I can’t just tell them I’m a secret agent…

“So that’s it? You’re not even gonna say anything?” I hesitate.

“Y/N-” They hung up. I hesitated for too long.

~Time skip your weeks~

I haven’t seen Y/N in a whole month… I don’t know what happened to them. I jump as my squidphone rings.

“Hello?”

“Agent 3.5! Me and Mar- Agent 2 just went back to check DJ Octavio, but the glass was shattered! He broke out!” I grab my dynamo and dive into Octo Canyon.

As I look around, I see shattered glass on the ground. Suddenly, Agent 2 grabs my hand and pulls me to the boss kettle.

“We have to hurry, he took the Great Zapfish and someone as a prisoner!” Me, Marie, and Callie jump in the kettle, and we are met with the sight of Goggles facing Octavio, with a  I/C I/O on top of the Octobot, their face hidden.

“Now you silly inklings won’t be able to stop me- I found someone with a better singing voice than Marie and Callie! Y/N!” What?! The I/O turns around, and it’s Y/N. The off-task part of my mind caused me to blush- they always wore oversized clothes, yet they looked stunning in the form-fitting octoling uniform. Goggles clapped in front of my face.

“Hey- Rider! Focus!” I blink a few times, staring at Y/N. Their smile was gone, and there seemed to be bags under their eyes. How dare these octarians?

“Y/N! How-” DJ Octavio chuckles darkly.

“Ah, Agent 3.5. You still love them? I thought a breakup would get you to give up… guess I’ll have to settle  for beating you into the dirt instead” I growl.

“You made them break up with me?!” Goggles holds me back while I try to jump at Octavio. Y/N winces and clutches their head.

“R- Rider?” I immediately open my mouth to respond, but the glowing glasses they're wearing flash brightly, and F/S starts playing. They start singing along, and their voice rings out beautifully, but they sound hesitant. As Goggles, Marie, and Callie keep Ocavio distracted, I super-jump to Y/N.

“Y/N! Can you hear me?” They stop singing, and turn to me. All of a sudden, DJ Octavio jerks the Octobot, throwing me off, while Y/N shakes their head a few times. The Octobot starts to fall apart as Goggles attacks Octavio, and without warning, it explodes. As the other agents lock Octavio back up,  I run to Y/N. As soon as I get to them, I yank off the glasses and give them a hug

“Rider! I missed you so much! I couldn’t control myself, they made mae say all those things-”

“It’s okay. I must admit, I should’ve explained.”

“No- don’t. Don’t blame it on yourself. I trust you completely, and I know you wouldn’t cheat on me.” They lean forward and kiss me. After a few seconds, Callie pulls us apart.

“I’m sure you two want all the lovey-dovey- time with each other right now, but I think I speak for all of us when I say to wait until you're alone.” Me and Y/N both get defensive.

    Your POV
“What do you think I’m gonna do with him? In front of innocent Goggles?” Marie raises an eyebrow.

“I can list a few things.” I pull Rider into a side hug, and start to walk away.

“Nice meeting you all, and thanks for the save, but I have some cuddles to catch up on.”
