S4 x Reader - Late Night Comfort

    Your POV
You ink the target one last time, then turn to your team. They are all training hard, splatting the targets over and over. You hear the training room door open, and turn to see Sheldon walking in.

“Hi, Sheldon! Is everything alright?” He shook his head.

“It looks like it's about to storm, and I mean the kind that lasts for days. If you all want to go home, I suggest you go now.” You glance at your teammates. You all live together in an apartment, but recently, there’s been a problem- the taxes along with the prices of groceries for four people was costing too much money. Considering what to do, you got an idea.

“Alright. I know what to do. The price of our apartment is too much because there’s four of us, right? I can just ask Aloha if I can stay with him until we can buy a place- instead of renting. After all, Aloha owes me and he’s also one of my best friends, so I’m sure it’ll be fine.” Reluctantly, they agreed. There weren't many choices.

“Alright, I’ll text him. You all get home before it starts raining.” They walk out of the training room, and you pull out your phone.

    Y/N has joined the chatroom
    Y/N: Hi Aloha!
    Y/N: I need to ask a favor…
You get a drink from Crusty Sean, thanking him.
    Aloha has joined the chatroom            Aloha: Heyo! Wassup?
    Y/N: I uh…
    Y/N: So
    Y/N: Do you think it’s ok if I stay over at your place for a day or two?
Y/N: The price of four average-ranked people living in a large apartment is becoming too high, so  I
        volunteered to move out until we can make enough money.
You sip your drink nervously and the sky grows darker.
    Aloha: Of course! That is, if you’re okay with being flatmates with the S4 for a bit…
    Y/N: Thankyouthankyouthankyou!
    Aloha: Alright, I’ll send you my address, See you then! ♡
    Y/N has left the chatroom
    Aloha has left the chatroom

~little time skip~

As you approach the address Aloha sent you, it starts raining. The water stings your skin terribly, but you grit your teeth and keep your walking pace.

“Y/N! Why are you just walking?! Get inside!” You look up to see Aloha running to you, and he grabs your arm.

    3rd POV
As the sudden sound of the front door closing rang throughout the house, three inklings jump and stop their various activities to stare at the door. It is Aloha, walking in with a rain-soaked I/O, Aloha’s lecturing the I/O, while they laugh at his attempts at being serious. When the I/C I/O turns to face the other three inklings, however, they freeze.

    Your POV
I laugh as Aloha struggles to make a serious face to lecture me about staying safe, and then I start to feel like someone’s watching me. Looking around, I see the rest of the S4 and freeze. Army is sitting, holding a pencil over his open manual (paused mid-sentence), Mask is on the couch holding a Nintendo Switch (Not realizing his character died), and Skull is in the kitchen holding a bowl of cookie dough (looking like a puppy caught stealing food). Aloha clears his throat.

“Hey, Y’all! This is the I/O I was talking about, they’ll be staying for a bit.” There’s an awkward silence, and you gather the courage to break it.

“H- hi, my name is Y/N. N- nice to meet you!”

    S4’s thoughts
Oh no they’re cute and precious.

    Your POV
They just stare at you, so you turn red after a few moments and turn around to take your shoes off. As you do, you hear the others return to what they were doing. You turned to see Aloha offering you his sweatshirt and sweatpants, and give him a questioning look.

“Well, you’re all soaked and it probably hurts, right? Here, I’ll show you where the bathroom is.” You nod and follow him.

“Are you okay? You normally talk more…” You sigh.

“I’m fine, I’m just not good with new people- especially if they’re just sitting there staring at me.”

“Ah, okay.”

~Tiny time skip~

Walking back to the living room, you finally notice the time- 11:00 pm.  You still haven’t heard the voices of the other S4s, and you decide to make that your mission. As soon as you walk in, though, Aloha takes your hand and walks you to the guest room.

“You need your energy if you’re gonna make lots of money tomorrow.” Sighing, you agree.

~Another time skip lol~

You wake up shaking and crying. Another nightmare. Trying to calm yourself down, you start freaking out again as the door to your room opens, but it’s just Skull.

“Hey… are you okay? I heard crying…” He sees you sitting up, eyes puffy. As you look into his eyes, finding sympathy there, you burst into tears again. Without a word, Skull leaves the room. You sigh and stare out the window. You start to feel claustrophobic, with the dark room and storm rumbling outside. All of a sudden, Aloha jumps into a sitting position next to you. Turning towards him, you see Skull, Army, and Mask also walking in. Skull’s holding fluffy blankets, Army’s holding a speaker playing soft music, and Mask is holding tons of snacks.

“W- why are you all here?” You ask, and Mask tsks.

“Isn’t it obvious? We’re here to help you.” He gently pushes your shoulders, so you are laying down, and they all snuggle up to you. You stiffen, surprised, but quickly relax.

“Thank you.”
