Daenys's Pov
We were in the training grounds practicing. Aegon, Aemond, Jace, and Luke were practicing with wooden swords while I was practicing with a bow and arrow. I've always favored it more than swords, and I am very good at it. I had just shot my second bull eyes when I heard Ser Harwin say
" Well done Princess" I looked at him smiled looked around the courtyard and made eye contact with Ser Criston, He was glaring at me. I ignored him and continued to practice until I heard him tell Jacaerys to fight with Aegon. I didn't like how he grabbed him, so I put my full attention on this match, something in me told me this would not go well. Jacaerys and Aegon started to fight Aegon pushed Jacaerys to the ground, I helped him up and told him
"you can beat him Jace use your brain as your weapon" he smiled at me before he went back to his match with Aegon again. Aegon was taken by surprise when Jacaerys came back at him in full force, Ser Criston was shouting orders out to Aegon and told him to kick Jace to the ground. He then told Aegon not to let Jacaerys up. I didn't like that, so as Ser Harwin was going to grab Aegon off of Jace I reached for my bow and arrow and shot it towards Ser Criston. I made sure that it missed and said this to him
" Mind Your Tongue Ser, because next time I won't miss" I smirked at him and left the area.
END OF Daenys's POV
As Princess Daenys left the Courtyard, all eyes were on her, some people were shocked while others admired her and her bravery.
" I'll marry her and make her mine, Aemond" Aegon said this to Aemond as the two boys watched her leave. When Aegon said this to Aemond he was upset because he wanted her to be his and his only
" Do you think Daenys would ever want to marry you, Aegon?" Aemond said with a hint of Jealousy. Aegon scuffed and crossed his arms against his chest and said
" we'll see she can't resist me, now lady can ." As Aegon said this, he tapped Aemonds shoulder and walked away. Aemond knew he probably went to go and bother a servant girl, he rolled his eye at that thought.
" Yeah, we'll see"
After the incident, Daenys stayed in her chambers for the rest of the day, she was upset, she couldn't understand a man's hate for someone who simply rejected him. Daenys was reading a book about the Old gods of Valyria when someone knocked on her chamber doors.
" Enter" Daenys spoke from where she sat, Aemond entered her room, and Daenys smiled slightly and welcomed him, Aemond was nicer than Aegon that's why she liked him a lot more.
" Aemond, What a pleasant surprise," Daenys said she smiled, Aemond smiled shyly he thought Daenys looked beautiful the way she did right now with a soft smile that graced, and her hair was free was the braids she had earlier now her hair was free and wild just like she was.
" Beautiful," Aemond Said out loud, Daenys had a surprised look on her face but she then collected herself and said
" Thank you, " Daenys said with an even bigger smile on her face. Aemond was flustered a little he then cleared his voice and said
" I brought you these I found them in my father's library, I was hoping they would make you feel better," Aemond said his hand was filled with three books, Daenys stood from where sat and walked over to Aemond she was happy to finally receive new books seeing as she was almost done with the one she was currently reading
" These books tell tales of how our ancestors claimed dragons and how they came into their possession," Aemond said
" But a dragon can't be claimed Aemond, They'll be our downfall in thinking that we can claim such a beast," Daenys said as she was looking through the book, " Maybe reading this will bring us closer to getting our own, Aemond" Daenys said to Aemond as she closed the book and put it on her table.
" I've been meaning to Apologize on behalf of my brother Jace and Luke for what they did to you with the whole pig situation, When Aegon, Jace, and Luke get together everyone seems to suffer from it," Daenys said she was playing with her finger she didn't normally act this way around people but for some reason around him she can't help herself
" It's alright Daenys you shouldn't have to apologize for your brother's mistake. I was hoping we could form a Friendship of our own" Aemond spoke not breaking his eyes away from Daenys
" I would like that very much Aemond," Daenys said with a smile on her face
" So Friends," Aemond said holding his hand out for Daenys to shake
