Chapter 9
I stood there, closing my door, Ichigo getting out of sight. Guilt washed over me. I didn’t want him walking home alone. It wasn’t that I didn’t think he couldn’t go home along or take care of himself, I just rather would have been the one walking home alone, but insisted on walking me home, so I wasn’t going to argue with it.
I made my way into the kitchen, turning on the coffee pot. From what I learned, the caffeine helps keep you awake, and I didn’t want to go to sleep anytime soon. There was no point on doing that. I had a break from school, even though I didn’t need to go to school.
I sighed, sitting down on the chair, drumming my fingers against the table, listening to the coffee hum while it heated up to make me a pot of coffee. I looked around the room. It was so blank, or at least empty.
The kitchen had a tiled floor, white walls, the usual oven, fridge, microwave, stove, and sink. Not much else to it. There colors were all similar to white.
I soon began to wonder if Rukia had spilled my secret to the others. What reasons did she have for not telling them? Could I trust those people? Who would they tell about it? Soul Society? Not like Soul Society could do too much to me about it other than question me.
It’s there fault I even exist in the first place. If it wasn’t for their selfish acts, the world wouldn’t be in such danger in the first place. If I died, who knew what chaos would come up in Soul Society until everything is resolved.
In the middle of me being lost in thought, I heard a ding noise. I looked up and around the room, trying to figure out what had caught my attention. I soon realized it was the coffee.
I stood up and walked over to the coffee machine. I pulled the coffee pot out. I then walked to a cupboard, grabbing a mug and then pouring some coffee into it. I placed the cup to my lips, blowing on it and taking a sip, nearly spitting it out.
“Gross!” I say out loud, putting the coffee down. “Who in there right minds would want to drink this?”
I placed the coffee on the table to let it cool down and left the room, heading into the living room to see if I had gotten any message concerning my world. Surprisingly enough, there was a note on a stand.
My lady, we give great pleasure to tell you all is coming along wonderfully back home. The other 4 others of your kind have been found, but are protected. We have sent guards down to guard them. We wish you well and that your safety is there. We wish to have you back home soon. –yours truly, the guards.
I said, setting the note down on the table again. I was happy to hear my people were fine and no one has been harmed. I walked back into the kitchen, grabbing my mug of coffee, taking a big drink of it, barely choking it down.
“Damn it.” I say, blahing it.
I sat down on a chair, beginning to think over what I should do next. I knew I somewhat trusted that Kurosaki kid because I was already opening up to him. There’s just something about him that makes you want to open up to him and tell him everything about you.
