A/N Hey y'all!! Sorry I've been gone, I was really really busy. I promise I shall be on here regularly from now on.
This one shot is a parter shot (Idk if that's the correct term but I'm gonna use it) to youfavlesbian 's one shot called "torture" so everyone go read that!!! It is quite a difficult one to get through though so be wary of your limits, but I applaud them for being able to write something that rough so well. While we're on the topic, with everything going on currently, it is important to remind everyone that these stories are just fiction and to still have the utmost respect for victims and families in actual cases. That's all so please enjoy this story, and have a great day :)
Ravi knew something was off. Maybe it was when Pip called him at six in the morning about DT outside her house. How her words slurred as she told him not to come over. Pip doesn't drink. She'd occasionally take sip to keep her friends comments at bay, but she definitely didn't get drunk at six AM. Yet, for a second he actually considered it. Maybe it was when she stopped answering his texts at exactly 3:51 PM that set him off. Or maybe it was her location. In the ten months since they connected their locations on their phones Pip had never once turned it off. Sometimes he checked it for no reason. Just to make sure she was safe. Because he had to protect her. His person. Still that didn't change the "location not found" message on the app. When her phone died it showed the last location she was at, so either something happened to her phone or she turned it off.
He refreshed the screen again. His previous messages stayed put on the screen, the delivered alert unchanging.
Let me know when you get to Nat's house. Love you. Delivered 3:51
Cat got your tongue? Or thumbs I guess. I know it can be difficult to talk to someone as astonishingly handsome as me. Seriously though check in soon. Delivered 4:08
Hello? Did you get murdered on your way over or something? Too soon? Gotcha. Delivered 4:25
If you don't answer soon I'm seriously going to regret that message Delivered 4:39
What the fuck sarge. You're supposed to check in like every five minutes. Delivered 5:03
If you're doing this on purpose I swear to god Pip. You know how dangerous this is. I've called Nat and your parents and I know you aren't with either of them. Delivered 5:34
If you don't text me within the next two hours, I don't care what you said or about Hawkins, I'm doing it. Delivered 6:12
The police meant something different to them then it did to most people, but when it was her he was talking about, going to the police made him feel better. That there were other people who were held responsible for her safety. The thought of something happening to Pip hurt like hell. If it did happen it was indescribable what would happen to him. She had his entire heart. No matter how many times she fucked up, or gave him an anxiety attack. She was the sun, and the moon, and the sky, and the earth, and everything in between, and why was she not answering?
"What time is Pip coming over, sweetie?" his mom walked past his spot on the couch carrying something in her hands to the other side of the room.
"I would tell you, but unfortunately she's been snapped by Thanos or something. She never made it to Nat's so I have no clue." Ravi liked to pretend that things didn't matter to him as much as they actually did. It was how he got through Sal's death, and his parents falling apart. Nevertheless, the edge in his voice prevailed.
His mom turned her head slightly, and gave him half frown paired with a sigh. The certified worried look. The same one he'd given Pip when she told him about DT.
"You worry too much. The girl's allowed to have some freedom you know."
"I know, I know. It's just a few things that don't add up, and there's this guy being creepy with her."
Nisha set down what he only now had enough care to notice was a laundry basket. It amazed Ravi how she didn't immediately see Andie in the back of her mind at the mention of Pip being in danger.
"When is there not guys being creepy with her? Heck, when is there not a guy being creepy with every girl? Plus, she won't be able to stay away for long because I made those cookies she loves so much the other day, and I plan to use them to bribe her into letting me read her copy of that Virginia Woolf book. To distract you why don't you fold these towels, huh?"
Within the blink of an eye he had a white dish towel that clung onto the stench of bleach on his face.
Later that night
Pip's mom had stayed home with Josh while Victor and Ravi went to the police station. It had officially been seven hours since anyone heard from or even saw Pip. Everyone wanted to hold back on filing a report, like it would make it less real. Make it so Pip had just stumbled down the wrong road, and would be back any second, but the nail in the coffin was the phone. Her phone. Her phone that Ravi's heart stopped at the sight of. Her phone that was nearly smashed to bits, presumably by a car, on the side of the road.
Ravi had that feeling in his throat that he got when he was about to cry. They sat under the yellow fluorescent lights that buzzed as if to remind them where they were. The police wanted to formally interview him first. Victor waited with him. Neither of them broke the silence. He'd pictured himself in this situation too many times to count in the five years where Sal was guilty in the eyes of the public. He never pictured it would hurt this much.
A few moments passed before they called him in.

Recorded interview of Ravi Singh
Date: August 17th
Duration: 41 minutes

R.H.- This interview is being recorded. This is Detective Inspector Richard Hawkins, I am joined by officer Soraya Bouzidi. We are interviewing on the prospect of a missing teenager, Pippa Fitz-Amobi. Can you please state your full name for the record?
R.S.- Uhm, Ravi Singh?
R.H.- Perfect, thank you Ravi. Can you confirm your date of birth for me and also confirm that you understand this is a voluntary interview and you are free to leave at any time?
R.S.- July 21st, 1999. And yeah I understand.
R.H.- Great. Sorry for all these confirmations, but can you please confirm for us your relationship with Pippa Fitz-Amobi?
R.S.- She's my girlfriend, and no one calls her Pippa. It's just Pip.
S.B.- Of how long exactly?
R.S.- Well, I guess we've had a romantic relationship for maybe 9 months, but officially we've been dating for 6 months.
R.H.- Now, you said off the record that you believe her disappearance might be a high-risk case, can you explain why?
R.S.- As I know you're well aware of, there's been someone harassing for a while who is mimicking how the DT killer reportedly stalked his victims. Oh and what a shocker, another thing I'm sure you're well aware of, her mental state isn't exactly the best right now.
S.B.- I know this must have been frightening, but the DT killer never stalked his victims. That lead was thrown away when Billy Karras confessed.
R.S.- It was in an article. Pip has it somewhere in her spreadsheet. She also has a transcript of Billy Karras interview that shows quite well the illegal tactics the officers used on him.
R.H.- Mr. Singh I know you're worried, but I'm going to be straight with you. Getting snippy with my officers and accusing crimes onto others doesn't paint you in a good light.
R.S.- Okay, then, I apologize Soraya, but I do recommend you take a look at that transcript for yourself.
R.H.- Were you aware that when I called Miss Fitz-Amobi a few days ago she told me that her stalker situation had been sorted out?
R.S.- I'm not surprised after you sent her home in tears after you called her crazy.
S.B.- This seems to be getting unnecessarily tense. Let's just focus on our common goal, alright? Finding Pip. Ravi, you found her phone and a piece of jewelry of hers. Do you mind explaining the circumstances of this discovery?
R.S.- Sorry, I'm just worried about her, and um no I don't mind. I was walking back from Natalie Da Silva's house because that's where Pip said she was going, but never turned up, and I wanted to make sure she didn't like slip and hit her head or something. Then I saw this glint down this secluded road, and it was her phone on the side of the road except it was very broken. Then a few steps away I saw her locket, and the clasp was broken. Uh, I took some photos of how it looked before I touched it if you need.
R.H.- Thank you, we'll take a look after we're done here. Were you and Pip arguing?
R.S.- Unless you count debating over whether pineapple on pizza is good, then no.
R.H.- Right, no I don't think that's significant, it's rare we see disappearances over pizza toppings. Just to be clear though, there wasn't any other guys she was seeing, correct?
R.S.- That wouldn't be too great for me, so I'd hope not.
R.H.- *laughter* Of course. After this question we're done. My apologies, but again to be clear, were you ever violent with Miss Fitz-Amobi?
R.S.- No. Anyone can you tell you that. Where are you getting this information from?
R.H.- It's a small town, Ravi. People talk.
