barbie doesn't know what love was like, she definitely didn't get familial love but she doesn't feel romantic love towards her current boyfriend, patrick stanley. the quarterback of the school, which makes sense because barbie was the cheerleader at the school.
"so, ready for our date tonight?" asked patrick
"oh...tonight? uh...i was kind of hoping of having some time alone"
"come on, barbie, please"
barbie hesitantly almost said no, so finally she gave in and said yes. patrick smiles, picking up barbie and twirling her around. the girl squeals before telling him to put her down, patrick finally did before kissing barbie and heading off to class.

the young girl was sitting in the yearbook, trying to come up with a layout for the yearbook this year.
"no offense, but can you actually do your job and stop scribbling me and patrick 4 ever" mocked the head of the yearbook committee, lana turner.
"i am, and i'm not scribbling, i'm trying to think what would be a good layout, maybe if you didn't have prejudice thoughts of me then you would actually ask what i'm doing"
lana stayed quiet before muttering an apology. barbie doesn't answer before going back using her ruler to make the layout. lana was still standing there before barbie asked what else she needed besides ridiculing her.
"i mean i have some ideas, if you want help"
"that would be nice" barbie answered
lana pulled up a chair and sat next to barbie, explaining what she had in mind for the yearbook this year. they talked and actually slowly started getting closer. when barbie and lana's hands accidentally touched hands, the girls pulled them away from one another and blushed. the bell went off before everyone left for their next classes.

"where are we going?" barbie asked
"it's a surprise" patrick answered
"we just keep getting more into the woods" answered barbie
patrick just rolls his eyes as he turns up the music slightly, christina aguilera's what a girl wants playing from the station. barbie looked out the window before seeing a sign that read 'lover's hilltop'
barbie's heart dropped but didn't express anything to patrick as they started to come to a stop.
"wow, look at the town" barbie whispered
"i know, you can see everything from up here" answered patrick
"so what's with the need to be at lover's hilltop?" asked barbie
