Finally, the time to bid adieu...

We were walking through the forest towards the deck. It was almost dusk, making it a little difficult for us to see around. One had to cross this forest to reach Draco's den, a.k.a, his deck. Since I've been here a lot of times, I had memorized the path. However, for someone walking behind me, it was tricky.
Davina kept on stumbling over and over again while walking with me. Earlier she was right beside me, but now, due to our pace and her lack of information on this route, she was walking behind me.
"Uh, need a hand there?", I asked turning around slightly, unsure of her reply. She, on the other hand just rolled her eyes at me.
Not to forget, she was still angry at me. She wouldn't leave the house until I answered her unspoken questions. That's when I had to take harsh measures. I dragged her out of the house and threw her in the vehicle to reach here. No matter how many kicks and punches she threw in my direction, I didn't leave her until the driver dropped us here.
Ever since then, she hasn't spoken a word. I tried to strike a conversation a few times but all in vain. Although walking in front of her, my eyes were still on her. My pace was quite slow as compared to my usual one, maybe because she had difficulty in walking fast. But majorly, somewhere deep down in my heart, I knew it was because I wanted all the time I could get to be with her. Don't know when I'd see her again..
Thought I still didn't know why I wanted what I wanted!
My actions, for the first time seemed foreign to me. I didn't know what I was doing and why. Being with Davina gave me life. She made me do things that I wouldn't ever. For instance, she helped me out with my wounds, made food for me, made me laugh with her silly PGs and a lot more. For the first time in my life, I felt like doing something for someone. The slightest of the gestures were the coffee that I brought for her.
That's different, none of us even touched it.
Suddenly, I heard her yelp, making me turn around just in time to catch her before she tripped over. My hands held her waist tightly, while she held onto the collar of my shirt. I looked at her and then at her twisted ankle.
"Holy crap!", I cursed under my breath.
How could I forget about her injury?
That night when I brought her back home, after her encounter with Marco's goons, I noticed she had hurt her ankle. First, because she fell into the bushes and then I stepped over it.
Somehow, she never showed me that she was still hurt. Around me, she was just like the chirpiest bird I have ever seen. Hopping and jumping around all over the place like she was fine, until today.
