Some people come into your life to make it better. However, some just end up making it worse, NOT FOR YOU... but for themselves.
Well, Nicholas is no stranger to this.
Nicholas Marcellus is no trained assassin but he took up the job to put that on...
Davina's eyes showed tears of betrayal even though she had known all this while that Marco had something to do with her kidnapping. But never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined this to be so damn true.
She was not standing behind me anymore. As soon as Marco walked into the room, the dim light lit up his face, making both of us stand stone. Davina, who was getting hyper until now, was stunned to core. Her eyes widened making her lips part in astonishment.
"Surprised?", Marco said in his arrogant voice. He stuffed his hands in his pocket as he walked over to us, more specifically, towards her. She stood there astonished, her eyes doing all the talking. Marco stopped right before her and looked right into her eyes. "Hi baby girl. It's been too long, isn't it?", he hissed.
Her breaths hitched with every word he uttered. I could see the change in her stance. Marco brought his hand forward to touch her but she immediately stumbled backwards.

"Davina-", I jerked towards her as I tried to hold her. But all in vain as my hands were tied too. I could do nothing but hold her hands which were tied to the pole with mine. "Careful..", I whispered.
But she didn't dare look at me. Her eyes were still fixed at Marco. Somehow, she couldn't believe that whatever she had been thinking all this time was actually true!
Marco was the one who wanted her gone!
Forever.
Period.
"What happened? Are you not happy to see me?", he asked taking a step towards her.
"Hey-", I growled lowly but was immediately cut off by Marco.
"I don't appreciate interruptions", he said curtly. "Moreover, it's my daughter who I'm talking to-"
"SHUT UP!!!! JUST SHUT UP!!!!!!!", Davina shrieked, gaining all our attention. "Don't-Don't you dare call me your daughter! I would prefer dying than being referred as your daughter", she seethed through gritted teeth.
"Tsk-tsk! You know I don't like your voice raised, don't you?", Marco tilted his head as he warned her.
"Why would I care about anything that you want? Did you care about anything that I ever wanted???? Never, right?", she leaned in, trying to intimidate him. "You are that one person who cared about nothing but what he wants!!! So don't you dare tell me what to do and what not to do! I'm no longer your slave! Haven't you already sold me to this piece of shit?", she said the last part gesturing towards Draco.
He said nothing but looked at her with disdain.
"Why?", she turned her attention back to Marco. "Why did you do this to me? What have I ever done to earn your hatred?", she broke down on the last part.
